As McCaskill herself — to her great credit — notes in the second clip below, this was almost certainly a case of overreaction to the “no signs allowed” policy at the town hall rather than some targeted attack on a civil-rights icon. While it took 4-5 officers to get the woman out of the hall, she complained that it took only one to escort the man who took her sign away. Oh, and BTW, the guy was peacefully arrested outside, and went to take his “medicine” in front of a judge.
Maybe she whacked him with the sign before the video started?
