Have a handful of left-wing advocacy groups been able to hurt Fox News Glenn Beck program by pressuring their advertisers to drop their ads?
Online left-wing news sources are claiming victory after several advertisers Sargento, GEICO, Lawyers.com, Progressive Insurance, Procter & Gamble, and SC Johnson have decided to move their spots to other Fox News programming from Becks program. However according to Fox News, its not costing the network any revenue.

All this because Beck opened his mouth one time. The Left does not respect your right to freedom of speech, does not like your freedom in general, and does not like democracy. That’s evidenced by this idiocy.
I wonder how many of the ten other people watching his program share his excitement.
If I may be permitted; here is the text of an email I just now sent to Sargento Foods, and with changes of brand names, will be sending to all the other companies mentioned.
“Just got the word that Sargento has pulled their adv. on Glenn Beck’s FNC afternoon TV program.
1. From a Patriotic standpoint, I’m amazed that a company that has prospered for so many years through the blessings of operating with LIBERTY in the United States, would not support Mr. Beck, one of the FEW individuals who is attempting to slow the betrayal of our Country by people in high places. Inexcusable!
From a Business standpoint; The stupidity of such a move gives me brain cramps! Glenn Beck’s show, in that time slot, has greater viewership than all the other cable news programs COMBINED! I can only conclude from this brilliant business decision that Top Management at Sargento Foods is more concerned with promoting socialism and big government takeover of every aspect of our lives than you are in selling cheese and other foods. Therefore, in an effort to make your dreams come true, NO Sargento products will ever enter our home again. And I will make every effort to enlighten and influence family and circle of friends and acquaintances, as well.
Drop your advertising from Glenn Beck’s program? That’s stupidity gone-to-seed!”
The owner of Progressive Insurance is as far left as you can get. He donates huge sums of money to the dems.
You would have to watch the show or send an inquiry.
He must really be hitting a nerve with the “hope & change” crowd.
I’m sure the maturity-deficient people who watch Olbermann’s show are peeing their pants.
I just spent 15 minutes email every one of them.
Two can play at the boycott game.
You put a lot more thought into than I did. I wish I had seen yours so I could have borrowed some of it.
Thanks for posting.
Prog corporate offices right around the corner from me.
Think I will call them in the a.m.
The same thing happened to David Letterman and he is still on the air.
I have purchased their cheese products before — now I'll remember to avoid them.
I don't think it will make a smidgen of difference in the taste by buying from another company.
HOW DUMB!!!!!!
“I just went to the Sargento website, sargento.com, and informed them that their products will no longer be in my grocery rotation.
We can play that game too!”
EXCELLENT IDEA! Let them know that there is more of us than them. When we quit buying their products they will see that the “conservatives” opinions are important too!
If hearing Obama made a thrill go up your leg, you'd pee your pants too.
As others have mentioned, two can play at this game--who sponsors Olbermann's program?
with a name like progressive...??? I saw another company that had nothing whatsoever to do with science, seems like it was a design group or something here in Atlanta, named evolution something or other...
No. This is direct payback for taking on ACORN. Once Beck started exposing the ACORN racketeers, he became Public Enemy #1. Obama will destroy him. Hopefully it will be transparent and many people will wake up to the socialist liberal democrats. Then again, the assault on Palin is clearly transparent, and doesn’t seem to have awaken any liberals.
I already wrote to progressive and told that that, although I wouldn’t dream of doing business with them, my daughter had a policy and that I would pay the difference to get her insured elsewhere.
I’m still working an an angle for P&G...
