Pennsylvania Democratic Gov. Ed Rendell said Tuesday that much of the outrage being demonstrated at town halls across the country comes from so-called birthers, whom he described as “absolutely nuts.” Responding to a question on the fury demonstrated at numerous town halls, the governor asserted that “many of these people are birthers.”

IMO Rendell is just another Marxist thug, water carrier for the Obama Administration.

If you were a real statesman you would address any number of issues raised instead of attacking voters who dare to question.

There were a number of ways to secure a birth certificate in Hawaii in 1961. The primary one is the long form that identifies the hospital and attending physician. But if the child was not born in a hospital the applicant can make a declaration and secure an equivalent to the long form as a Certificate of Live Birth. The legal requirements for this avenue to acquire a Hawaiian Certificate of Live Birth were "loose" at the time.

Taking a look at the long form would clarify whether Mr. Obama was born in a hospital in Hawaii or elsewhere in Hawaii. Of course the possibility exists that a close relative could have secured a Certificate of Live Birth for Obama even though he was born elsewhere. Many people just do not know. They would like to feel assured that all is well and in order in this case.

The lack of openness by our President in connection with school records, college writings, applications, and sources of funding, raises legitimate concerns.

This stone-wall and name-calling approaches are associated with socialist governments that Rendell wants to copy by nationalizing banks, the automobile industry, and, now, heath care. Remember that the 1,000 page plus stimulus package was passed without being read by the Democrats. We still do not know what happened to that money.

Democrat love to spend someone else's money. Taxpayers and their children will pay and pay for years to come.

The only thing that's nuts is how the majority of Pennsylvanians could have elected this flea to be Governor for 8 years.

The strategy of the left is all too clear. Call any one who disagrees with you crazy and unbalanced as a way to discredit there position. I don't care who you're talking about; the birthers, the tea parties, the town halls, it's the same standard playbook move.

Hey fast eddie, isn’t it nuts for a person who plays president on tv to spend big piles of cash to retain lawyers to keep their past life covered up?

Rendell says plan aids energy contracts
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review (PA) - Saturday, March 3, 2007
Author: Rick Stouffer
For Public Utility Commission members who translate Pennsylvania's electricity restructuring law as banning long-term contracts, Gov. Ed Rendell has two words:

“That's nuts .”

Allowing large industrial power users to sign five-year or 10-year pacts at a set price allows those companies to budget for a huge expense, according to the governor.

“For some utility commission members to interpret Pennsylvania's electricity deregulation law as not allowing the signing of long-term contracts — that's nuts ,” said Rendell , addressing a packed room at the Sheraton Station Square.

Ed (and the Dems) know full well, unlike the ACORN crowd, the town hall protesters are ordinary folks. I think they are making a big strategic mistake by demonizing them in this way. I think, deep down, they know it too. But the problem is that they have touched a nerve and the Dems are operating in a blind panic.

I guess Eddie has seen an actual legitimate birth certificate for him to be able to make his claim. Otherwise he should just STFU.

Now listen to me, Governor Rendell. You know what I’m obsessed with? Your proposed 16% increase in my state income taxes. I go to the Harrisburg newspaper website every day, to make sure my GOP Senator hasn’t caved in to your Communist demands. And if it looks like his bottom lip is starting to quiver, I pick up the phone and call his office. They’ll probably get caller ID soon, so they can avoid my calls.

I would have been in Lebanon yesterday, but alas, work intruded. As for the birther issue, all I know is the President won’t produce his original birth certificate. I know, I’m completely nuts for not trusting my President. Well, call me crazy........

“The party is the Democrat party, not the Democratic party. There is nothing Democratic about this party. “

I have been maintaining this for a while now and I think Rush is using the term “Democrat” Party, not “Democratic”, which it isn’t.

"This “clear and credible evidence” would be laughed out of any courtroom."

No it would not. It would be accepted as prima facie proof. It's the birthers who get laughed out of court, and will continue to be until and unless they produce some proof that Obama was born somewhere else.

You kidding, the judge asks to see the long form certificate and the defendant just gives song and dance?

We don’t just presume some bloke who waltzes into Washington meets the constitutional requirements.

"You kidding, the judge asks to see the long form certificate and the defendant just gives song and dance?"

What judge asked for that? When did this happen?

The COLB is legal proof of place of birth. That's just a fact. It would be accept as prima facie proof in any court.

"We don’t just presume some bloke who waltzes into Washington meets the constitutional requirements."

The time for that is before the election. It already took place. He was allowed onto the ballot in fifty states and sworn into office following the constitutional procedures. Was he asked to present a birth certificate at any stage? I don't know. Was any president ever asked for that?

The question now is, do the birthers have proof that he's NOT eligible. And the answer is NO. They have nothing. What we have is sufficient proof for any reasonable person that he was born in Hawaii.

"This fat adulterous slob has more respect for master criminal Vince Fumo than the common man."

GREAT characterization! So accurate. : )

During our lawsuit against him at his first deposition, Fast Eddie was so nervous, he knocked over a pitcher of water. : ) Loved it!

I also loved it when he surprisingly admitted during one of the depositions, if he had been in Clinton's situation, he would have lied under oath too. (Supports your excellent characterization of the man, Kid!) To which one of our lawyers responded, "Oh, really, what else would you lie about under oath?" Eddies response to that was to look up and down and all around the room.

Interestingly, his statements were far more mild and reasonable on Dom Giordano's show Tuesday evening which Dom noted. Eddie well understands the tactic of appearing reasonable to one's enemies to win them over. But the truth about what he REALLY thinks, comes out when he's with one of his own.
