Pennsylvania Democratic Gov. Ed Rendell said Tuesday that much of the outrage being demonstrated at town halls across the country comes from so-called birthers, whom he described as “absolutely nuts.”
Responding to a question on the fury demonstrated at numerous town halls, the governor asserted that “many of these people are birthers.”
“The birthers are a perfect slice of these people who have lost their rationality and they have become obsessed with certain things, and that obsession is hurting the democratic process,” Rendell said during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Hardball,” referring to the conspiracy theorists who believe President Barack Obama was not born in the United States.
“The birthers are absolutely nuts,” he said. “They won’t believe the clear and credible evidence that President Obama was born in Hawaii.”
“I’ve never seen ugliness and rage like this in all my years in office,” the two-term governor and former Philadelphia mayor added.

This “clear and credible evidence” would be laughed out of any courtroom. The meme has dug into America enough that there will be an ugly backlash on top of the dozens of other ugly backlashes at Obama.
The racial components of the 2008 Democratic Primary refuse to go away. On Tuesday, Gov. Ed Rendell, a prominent Hillary Clinton supporter, told the Pittsburgh Post Gazette that he believed some Pennsylvania voters would not support Barack Obama simply because of his race.
“You've got conservative whites here, and I think there are some whites who are probably not ready to vote for an African-American candidate,” the Governor said, ironically, to a black reporter.
No matter what they do, they dig themselves in deeper.

The people who are listening to the media do not even realize that Barack has not released his actual birth certificate. They only listen to the 24/7 propaganda.
So let me get this right Mr. governer, the "birthers" who are only demanding that Barack show his parents citizenship and the hospital of birth are NUTS and you by repeating Barack's Whitehouse talking points (propaganda) are the sane one!

Are they worse than convicted cop killer and death row resident Mumia Abu-Jamal that your office also prosecuted? We know it's football season and your priority is to get to Comcast for the post-game wrapup of your beloved Iggles, but how about you leave the hyperbole for missed field goals and tackles?
