Good question, especially given the sign this guy was carrying. Considering the lengths to which the Secret Service normally goes to investigate threats against the president, I’m amazed he wasn’t hauled in for questioning at the scene as a potential threat. People are going to beat the Second Amendment drum in the comments, but (a) I doubt it would have sat well with our readers if lefties carrying Bushitler signs had shown up to Dubya’s events packing heat and (b) having a right doesn’t mean you’re obliged to exercise it, particularly in circumstances where it would be provocative to do so.
Perhaps the guy was afraid of union thugs.

Because, just like they turn everything into a race issue they will turn this into an “angry mobber with a gun and he was planning to shoot the president” issue.
The guy exercised his right to carry a weapon. As far as I know, he wasn’t arrested, and he didn’t discharge his weapon. Unless I missed some news that stated otherwise, he acted like a responsible citizen. The lefties could only benefit if this guy went haywire with his weapon. He didn’t so, IMO, they got nothing.
Easy twist fodder. Unless Fox gets to talk with him too, the nation’s TV screens are going to be completely devoid of any suggestion this fellow was preparing in case he WAS attacked. Instead the innuendo will gush that he was thinking of doing what six out of six million legal carriers have done in the past year.
Must be something about that “Live Free or Die” motto... but as no crime was committed, all they can do is gripe.

And I am glad he done it, it serves notice that the citizens aren't backing down and giving up their rights.

Apparently, the guy didn’t even go into the townhall meeting, so the headline is a little misleading.
With government guaranteed health care the options are limited to the latter.
Rush said today to be on the look out for plants at these rallies to make conservatives look bad, not say he was a lefty plant but sure smells like one
