Good question, especially given the sign this guy was carrying. Considering the lengths to which the Secret Service normally goes to investigate threats against the president, I’m amazed he wasn’t hauled in for questioning at the scene as a potential threat. People are going to beat the Second Amendment drum in the comments, but (a) I doubt it would have sat well with our readers if lefties carrying Bushitler signs had shown up to Dubya’s events packing heat and (b) having a right doesn’t mean you’re obliged to exercise it, particularly in circumstances where it would be provocative to do so.

I watched the entire interrogation by Chris Matthews of free New Hampshire citizen, William Kostric.

Chris Matthews is an arrogant, overbearing asshole.

Kostric did better than most people could do when questioned by motormouth Matthews.

The guy was exactly right. Exercised his rights in a peaceful and responsible manner - and made it clear what will happen those rights are not respected. There was No law broken. The man was NOT incarcerated. He went about his own business. Matthews was a goner from the get-go, screaming and cursing at a private citizen he had invited onto his show, and getting nothing back but calm and thoughtful responses. Two thumbs up!!
