What kind of country do we live in???

A country where standards of public decorum and civil discourse are occasionally enforced.

I don’t think you give the “American Spirit” enough credit.

He's going to vote AGAINST this Bill and will be reelected because of it.

He can't. He's trapped. The Dems have him by the short and bushy. He could have safely voted against it if he'd remained a Republican. But the RATs won't allow any show of rebellion. If he wavers they can cut off his re-election funding, run another candidate in his place, whatever. He's a turncoat. His only choice would be to run again as an independent. He HAS to remain in lockstep with OHHHH BABY or he's toast.

The guy doing the grabbing in this pic does not look like either a LEO or a rent-a-cop. Union thug, maybe? He's big that's certain but big doesn't always translate into effective. My former sensei could attest to that. She was about 100 pounds soaking wet and I saw her put a SWAT cop who stood about 6'6" at 250lbs on his knees, screaming. It was a PD demonstration and he promised he wouldn't hurt her....LOL She was a chain smoker, though. Too bad, she passed from lung cancer a long time ago.

I thought I read somewhere that in Pennsylvania, if you lose your party's primary, you can't then run as an independent...no?

The popular Specter might be unbeatable as an “independent”, as is Lieberman in CT.

The deafening MSM silence over eco-zealot/forced abortion advocate John Holdren
Michelle Malkin.com ^ | 7/10/09 | Michelle Malkin

Posted on Monday, July 13, 2009 5:18:42 PM by pissant

On Friday, I spotlighted the devastating reporting on Obama “science czar” John Holdren posted at zombietime and featured it as the lead story all weekend.

Refresher on Holdren’s eco-zealous views:

• Women could be forced to abort their pregnancies, whether they wanted to or not;

• The population at large could be sterilized by infertility drugs intentionally put into the nation’s drinking water or in food;

• Single mothers and teen mothers should have their babies seized from them against their will and given away to other couples to raise;

• People who “contribute to social deterioration” (i.e. undesirables) “can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility” — in other words, be compelled to have abortions or be sterilized.

• A transnational “Planetary Regime” should assume control of the global economy and also dictate the most intimate details of Americans’ lives — using an armed international police force.

WND follows up here.

Jim Treacher notes that Holdren featured Ecoscience, his book of pro-forced abortion eugenics rantings, in his curriculum vitae.

Zombie has an update responding to claims that Holdren renounced his views. He has not:

If I'm correct about not being able to run as an independent after losing the dem primary, to be 'unbeatable' as an independent he'd have to switch to independent NOW.

CT does not have that law, therefore Lieberman was able to switch after he lost the dem primary.

“I recall a number of people here on FR saying we needed to support this schmuck over Toomey, otherwise we would get a Democrat holding that spot. Well, surprise, we did anyway!”

ABC News is currently playing factcheck and labeling conservatives as spreading false information and false rumors in this morning’s news broadcasts. They gave prominent play to Obama’s supposed debunking of the criticism from the protestors. Obama says to forward the fishy e-mail to the White House e-mail address and the White House will respond with the true facts....

What really floored me was when the nice girl from Brazil asked her question about why change our health care system to an entitlement system. She was very well spoken and said she immigrated legally from Brazil in 1986 because of the entitlement system was run in Brazil. Spector threw his hands up and said. “Well! The social security, medicaid, and medicare are entitlements!” I was speechless! I emailed him and told him that Americans had paid into those three plans for years which does not make them entitlements. I said maybe you are speaking of the illegal criminals who would be receiving the entitlements. I went on to say that the the AMERICANS are not stupid and how very ashamed I felt for those in Washington who were for this.
I forgot to mention to him that we are in the know that the potus and congress will be exempt.
I wanted to tell him what I thought of the magic bullet theory. But, did not.

I’ve gotta admit, their recent record isn’t great. But he really is decrepit and I think we’ll see a big protest vote against Obama.
