It's time to take our country back! Join our efforts to bring REAL CHANGE to our government! Join the Hartford Tea Party Patriots in welcoming the Tea Party Express national bus tour when it arrives in Connecticut to rally Americans to oppose the out-of-control spending, higher taxes, bailouts and growth in the size and power of the government. The Hartford rally is part of a series of tea party rallies being held across the nation from August 28th to September 12th 2009, beginning in California and traveling eastward, and reaching its final destination: the big 09.12.09 Taxpayer March on Washington, DC
DATE: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2009 TIME: 10 AM TO 1 PM PLACE: HARTFORD (location to be determined)
The Tea Party Express Hartford Rally will highlight some of the worst offenders in Congress who have voted for higher spending, higher taxes, and government intervention in the lives of American families and businesses. These Members of Congress have infringed upon the freedom of the individual in this great nation, and it's time for us to say: "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH".
The Tea Party Express Hartford Rally will feature national leaders in the anti-tax, conservative, tea party movement, along with musical performances, including the following:
Lew Uhler(Chairman, National Tax Limitation Committee PAC),
Deborah Johns & Mark Williams (Vice Chairpersons, Our Country Deserves Better PAC),
Amy Kremer(National Coordinator, Tea Party Patriots),
- Lloyd Marcus (performing the "American Tea Party Anthem"), and Revue (performing "A Bailout Song").
In addition to both national and local speakers, and musical entertainment, there will be information tables, and other family-friendly activities. THE 09.12.09 MARCH ON WASHINGTON April 15th 2009 was an historic day for those who love freedom. Hundreds of thousands of Americans came out to protest the massive government spending that is burdening our country with huge debt and future tax increases. People came out of their homes and into the streets to stand together and say “Enough!” But the media would have you believe that only a few people showed up, and that those who did were not representative of the American people. Of course we know the truth, and we know that April 15th 2009 was just the beginning of something BIG!
The champions of big government are now working to pass a new national energy tax, government-run health care, and other policies & programs that will cripple our lives and our livelihoods even further. We must keep the pressure on our elected officials as they vote on how much more of our money they will spend, and how much more of our money they will confiscate. Many of you have been wondering "what's next?" for the tea party movement... well, THIS IS IT!
It's time to take the tea party movement directly to Washington, DC. Why?
I’m serious now. I am a ProtestWarrior and stood outside Ft Monmouth to counter-protest lefties who were vomiting on service members and their families - but that was direct, tangible support of the troops.
I’m just asking; what is the goal? Protesting for protesting’s sake is a very leftist thing to do.
There is one near me on 9/11 in Toms River, NJ and I will be there if I can get just one good reason for doing so.
I just want to know what the end game is What is the goal?

Jim Vicevich is getting not only better with complementing people who call in to his show, which includes I, who is also a good friend of his. His show is getting much more popular on the local level. He is doing well health wise right now and if my memory is correct, will be on vacation next week. One thing I know, is that he was the first to use the “mob” term for in reference to us who are oppose to Obamacare, calling his callers and chatters his little mobsters. This was before Rush and Sean started to do the same thing. Great that you got back. Take care.:)=^..^=

Yeah...that’s just it. I dunno know about that.
I think the “Health-care reform” town hall meetings do a far better job of both of those things.
For one thing, the media covers them more. For another, you are directly confronting the enemy (Congress) with others there who might be influenced.
At tea parties you are preaching to the choir with little positive media coverage. It seems like much heat with very little light (as opposed to the town hall confrontations or my earlier example of what we do at ProtestWarrior).
Anyway, that is why no matter how much I want to get excited about the idea, I just can’t. I wish they had a Town Hall meeting near me. Last night I was furious after watching the news.

When several thousand people attend a rally, you can bet your sweet bippy they come back and talk about it!
Also, when people read about several thousand people attending a rally i the Capital, you can bet your sweet bippy people hear about it more than a small townhall meeting like we had in Hartford,Simsbury and Woodstock, regardless of how many YouTube videos had to go out to let people see what happened inside!
