KINSHASA, Congo -- U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton's temper flared on Monday when a Congolese university student asked her for her husband's thinking on an international financial matter.
A week after former President Bill Clinton traveled to North Korea to secure the release of two detained American journalists and stole the limelight from the start of his wife's first trip to Africa, Clinton was clearly displeased by the question at town hall forum in Kinshasa.
You want me to tell you what my husband thinks?" she replied incredulously when the male student asked her what "Mr. Clinton" thought of World Bank concerns about a multi-billion-dollar Chinese loan offer to the Congo.
"My husband is not secretary of state, I am," an obviously annoyed Clinton said sharply. "If you want my opinion, I will tell you my opinion. I am not going to be channeling my husband."
The question was left unanswered as the moderator of the event quickly moved on.

Also she is clearly racist. She would have never responded in that condescending tone with a White male. At least that’s what libs would have said if Palin responded in this way, no? Isn’t Hillary just a Secretary. I wish this Man would have said something like aren’t you just a Secretary to your husband.

Glenn Beck, on his radio show this morning, came up with a theory about Hillary’s anger.
Bill Clinton celebrated his 63rd birthday the other day, and he celebrated his “special day” in Las Vegas.
“Need I say more?” Glenn quipped, implying that Bill was enjoying himself with the local lovelies.
She’s been eating a lot of biscuits lately, Id say.
Early birthday celebrating for Bill since his birthday isn’t until Aug. 19th.

She humiliated a foreign national by saying it was a stupid, degrading question. She did this on international television, at an official event.
Anyone who has traveled overseas should know that asking a woman about a spouse’s thinking is not rude or unusual. Cultures are different.
Also, translations are not perfect, and the question might have been phrased even more innocently (I could tell you many amusing stories along these lines, as could many others here).
This is an outrage to Congo and Africa. It also suggests a serious, serious personality problem in the Secretary of State. Talk about “ugly american”.

I think Hillary has been collecting stamps for quite a while and she figured what the hell I'm in Africa and no one will see me so it's redemption day. She cashed in her stamps on some poor student, because she was upset with Obama, for putting her in the corner and with Bill for upstaging her when he wasn't even there. This episode is not over.
