An aftershock? How many years apart can an earthquake be considered an aftershock?

I count 2. 6.6 in Japan and 7.7 off India. What was the third?

"Looking at the times again, they happened almost at the same time."

It's the globe collapsing in on itself under the weight of Obama's enormous budget deficit.

A 7.6 magnitude earthquake is strong enough to ruin anyone’s day.

At 5:00 AM this morning, I woke up with a start. I had a dream I was visiting Rome, Italy. I was having a good time visiting historical landmarks and eating Italian pastry when suddenly, a catastrophic earthquake hit Rome. I watched all the buildings collapse....the city was flattened. I was on my cellphone, trying to call the outside world; I was asking for rescue teams with dogs to come to Rome to search for people trapped in destroyed buildings. Then I woke up! Weird.

Love Is A Burning Thing
And It Makes A Fiery Ring
Bound By Wild Desire
I Fell Into A Ring Of Fire

I Fell Into A Burning Ring Of Fire
I Went Down, Down, Down
And The Flames Went Higher

And It Burns, Burns, Burns
The Ring Of Fire
The Ring Of Fire

Strong earthquake shakes Tokyo area
(AP) – 17 minutes ago

TOKYO — The Japan Meteorological Agency says a strong earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.6 has shaken Tokyo and surrounding areas. No casualties were immediately reported.

The agency issued a tsunami warning from the temblor early Tuesday, which centered off the Suruga Bay, southwest of Tokyo.

The quake rattled furniture and walls in Tokyo but there have been no immediate reports of damages or casualties.

The quake occurred at a depth of 12 miles (20 kilometers). Public broadcaster NHK said a small increase of waves of some 10 inches (30 centimeters) was observed along the coastline of Yaizu City.

Local trains were temporarily halted for safety checks.
