'BBC America has picked up the US rights to air the upcoming fifth season of Doctor Who, it has been announced.
The new run, which sees Matt Smith take over from David Tennant in the lead role, is currently being filmed in Cardiff, Wales. The thirteen-episode fifth season will air on BBC America and BBC America HD in Q2 2010 shortly after its UK premiere.'

Allons-y!
Comacast has had it for years, including Torchwood and all the Predator series.
No David Tennant = it’s gonna suck.
I just called Comcast. They have no local number I can call. The person I spoke to said my basic package didn’t have History channel among the 75 channels I get in my ‘package’. And I cannot talk to a local to find out if in fact the settings are in error. BUT, the idiot I spoke with told me that for $40 more per month I could get an addition package which would include History channel and BBC America. I’m looking into the Dish Network deals as I type this! I can get hi=speed Internet throught eh phone company for less than I’m paying to Comcast monthly. The Comcast idiot tried to tell me my e-mail address would change if I dropped Comcast. I told her to change it anytime they wish, I have file backups that will allow me to update all on my addy list and the rest of their advertising I would not miss.
Sounds like I’m gonna have to get my Dr. Who fix from Torrent sites. Oh well. This past year I watched every single Dr. Who episode ever made (even the ones that survive as audio only). Can’t believe Sciffy dropped the ball.
No.
David Tennant’s last two episodes (which will be at Christmas) havent even been hinted at. Not even any still pics from fan sites. Tne first clips of the new Dr Who will be at the end of the Xmas specials, as Tennant changes over to Smith.
You might be interested in gettng an email forwarding service like pobox.com. I can't tell you how many times I've changed providers over the past 10+ years, and I've never had to change my email address.
Tennant was closer to my favortie Doctor than any of the others since TOM BAKER, who was the best Doctor. Tennant seemed to channel Tom at his best.
I get a 404 error when I click on your link.
“would you like a jelly baby?”
one of my fave Tom Baker lines... Wonder why they can’t bring back Red Dwarf while they’re at it...
Being Human is awful. I watched one episode and that was it. Doctor Who is great and can’t wait for the new season. Also enjoy Torchwood. Miss Wire in the Blood but the BBC series tend to be very short.
Of course I wish they’d have some new comedies of the quality of Faulty Towers, Are You Being Served, Yes Minister or the very gentle Vicar of Dibley. Those are all better than the US comedies! I suppose I should also toss in AbFab as well. My wife loves Keeping Up Appearances as well but it’s not one of my favorites.
‘Come here K-9, I need you.’ That was some more dog don’tchaknow. Mrs. Smythe ended up with him but he was suspended in ‘inner space’ fixing the universe to prevent implosion.
You can say that again! When I read that David Tennant wasn't coming back I decided that I'm going to stop watching. He is one of a handful (out of the the many actors) that actually made the Doctor's character believable and entertaining.
I don’t know where you live, but where I am the telephone company internet and email is DSL, and a whole lot slower than Comcast internet service. Don’t jump to any drastic conclusions. Also, I can’t believe you don’t get the history channel. It is in the basic, bare-bones, nothing fancy package, the cheapest they offer here. I think I would elevate with comcast customer service. Also, I found this:

My husband used to tick me off by calling me “Hyacinth.” The Keeping Up Appearances episode where Rose decides she wants to be a nun is one of the funniest things I have ever seen on TV.
I only saw Dr Who with Chris and David.... To me David was the Doctor.. I have a bad feeling about the new Doctor...
I would like to see the Benny Hill show again..
I have tried to watch Dr. Who. But it’s just to campy. But for those who like the series this is good news.
