Job opportunites working on urgent grassroots campaigns This summer we have the opportunity to make huge gains on critical issues, from repowering America with clean, renewable energy and reducing our dependence on oil, to fixing the high cost of health care, to winning the battle for equal rights.

America’s leading advocacy groups are gearing up to meet these challenges this summer. In order to win, they need citizen support and grassroots action. That’s where we come in.

At the Fund for the Public Interest, we’ve been organizing campaigns to protect the environment, stand up for the public interest, and defend human rights for more than 25 years. We've helped cut global warming pollution with Environment America. We've helped pass laws that require drug companies to disclose more of the dangerous side-effects of their drugs with NJPIRG. And working with the Human Rights Campaign, we helped organize the grassroots opposition needed to defeat the discriminatory Federal Marriage Amendment.

Now is the time to work for change We need people like you—lots of people like you—to go out in communities around the country this summer and help make change happen. And you can earn money doing it. Earn $4,000-$6,000 this summer.

Get skills. Learn vital campaign skills including how to fundraise, run a news conference and mobilize activists. Know the issues. Learn about the issues from some of the nation's top advocates, organizers and experts. Be part of a winning team. Work alongside other motivated staff who share your passion for change. Make lasting friendships. Leadership Opportunities: We also have opportunities for additional responsibility as a Field Manager or Campaign Coordinator. Gain great experience—like an internship, but you get paid.

Field Managers work with the director to meet the office goals and increase the impact of our campaigns. Field Managers make an additional $500-$1,000 over the summer. Campaign Coordinators work closely with the directors to develop and implement winning campaign tactics, such as organizing the media, building coalitions, and writing letters-to-the-editor. To apply for a job this summer, visit our website—www.JobsThatMatter.org—or call Chris at 646-473-0905

Compensation: $11-16/hour This is at a non-profit organization. Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster. Phone calls about this job are ok. Please do not contact job poster about other services, products or commercial interests.

Hell, call the guy. Let’s flood him with calls. Maybe some of us could work for him. Subterrean conservatives getting paid to tell the truth—and liberals footin’ the bill.

Sounds good to me.

These ads are in every major city. Cheap ads to run.

I am amazed at the pay rate for a “non-profit” org.

Craiglist -— lots of whores advertise there!

Hey, why can't we get FOX News to cover this? Yesterday I kept hearing the commentators, even on FOX, debate the “astroturf” aspect of these Town Halls.

It is the DEMS, Axelrod, ACORN and the thug Unions doing the rent-a-mob bs!

We need a 19-year-old subversive to spend a summer with these goons, documenting every law and skull they break, recording their statements, dissecting their tactics and then writing a book about it.

These gangs, and their leaders, need to be exposed for what they are.

All over America, there are jobs as paid organizers to organize demonstrators in favor of the administration's healthcare proposal. In Orlando, health care demonstrators in favor of the administration's healthcare proposal will be bussed in. The Speaker of the House called health care demonstrators Nazis.

But the official narrative is the reverse: They claim it is those opposed to the administration's plan who are paying organizers, busing in demonstrators, and calling the other side Nazis.

This has gone beyond projection to doublethink.

Not really a rent a mob....these people are paid to go around and collect money for leftists groups such as the Seirra Club and others. They work them 60 plus hours a week, don’t pay them what they promise unless they are unbelievably good fund raisers, and they are not honest to the kids about what their job really will be.

This drives me crazy!

Our CONGRESSMEN AND WOMEN HAVE NOT PROTECTED OUR MONEY...THE MONEY YOU AND I WORK HOURS UPON HOURS TO EARN AND ARE TAXED ACCORDINGLY.

HOW DARE THE LIBERALS USE THE NATIONS FUNDS TO GIVE OUT SUCH TERRIFIC HOURLY WAGES TO PEOPLE WHO WORK AGAINST WHAT WE BELIEVE IN.

HOW DID IT COME TO PASS THAT WE HAVE TO PAY OUR ENEMY's BILLS?

WHY DID OUR CONGRESSMEN AND WOMEN ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN?

We need screen grabs, and we need to send them to Beck, Limbaugh, Levin, and anybody else that isn’t a raving leftist media drone.

In the 1950s, Harlan Ellison joined a NY street gang and went on to write Memos from Purgatory, which has been in print off and on for decades. This is a perfect opportunity for an honest young writer.
