Obama and Hitler Compared
controversialpolitics.com ^ | 8/7/09 | controversialpolitics.com

Democrats manufactured the story that protestors at town hall meetings were carrying Nazi flags. Obama policies seem to be more closely aligned with the policies of Nazism, so a comparison of the two is necessary. Among the key elements of Nazism were Racism, Eugenics, leader principle, Government control of the industry, and of course moral relativism. http://www.wordiq.com/definition/Nazism. Those are also the principles of Obama's plan for a "better America" .

The shared connection of racism speaks for itself. Both megalomaniacs, Hitler and Obama, are racists. Hitler, (who possibly was Jewish) hated Jews. Obama who clearly is partially white expressed his personal dislike of whites when, lacking any facts other then race, labeled a white police officer doing his job as "acting stupidly". Race was the only basis for that judgment, making Obama a racist. Furthermore both dictators use race as a basis for policy decisions. Hitler designed the Final Solution to further a policies of eliminating Jews as a race. Obama appointed a Supreme Court Justice who has demonstrated that she uses race as a criteria for judgment rather than the Constitution.

Eugenics, the elimination of the non-useful members of society, is another key feature of the policy of both dictators. Again Hitler used concentration camps See the rest at controversialpolitics.com

It is also dependent on Conservatives finding a leader that has the spine and guts to expose the traitors behind the plot to destroy our country and our freedom.

It won’t matter, health care won’t matter if it passes or fails. Why?

He has released his attack dogs. The problem is he can’t recall them. Sure, he’ll make noises like he is...but they won’t listen.

Yes, that would help. That would be the GOP presidential candidate in 2012, hopefully. But for the 2010 congressional elections, the Republicans can win simply by contrasting themselves to Obama and the incumbent 'Rats. As long as they can articulate a difference, they will benefit from the anti-Obama climate, expecially re health care and the economy.

But then, when did he ever bother to pay any attention to the Constitution?

As you might know, in addition to the auto industry issues you mentioned, he has shown contempt for the Constitution with his adamant refusal to produce a bona fide birth certificate to prove that he qualifies for the presidency constitutionally as a natural born citizen. It would seem to many that he may have ascended to the presidency by pulling off the biggest hoax in American history: faking that he was constitutionally eligible when in fact he was not. How typical of "malignant narcissism" would that be!

NEVER in my life have I experienced such an instinctive, guttural FEAR of any person, as I did with him from day *one*.

Dread, fear, loathing, horror, utter, literal physical repulsion, an absolute [seemingly] irrational terror that some day, this ‘thing’ would have power over the country.

I even prayed that I was wrong.

I do not believe that I was.

A LOT of people saw that evil but not enough listened.

To this day, I do not understand how his “worshipers” are still blind to it.

You are wrong about Jonah Goldberg. His book Liberal Fascism is not about Naziism. He explains that very clearly in the intro.

Further JG considers lesser comparisons to Hitler, Nazis and the Holocaust a form of Holocaust denial.

.................

We may be living in the worst period of Holocaust denial since the Nuremberg trials. I’m not referring to the twisted morons who insist that the Holocaust never happened the way the Monty Python guys insisted the parrot wasn’t dead. I’m referring to the legions of Holocaust deniers in the Democratic Party, on the Web, on college campuses, in the mainstream press and, most acutely, in my e-mail box every morning, who reduce to the Holocaust to a triviality.

In America today - never mind Europe and the Middle East - ostensibly sophisticated and enlightened people see nothing particularly controversial about comparing George Bush to Adolph Hitler and the United States of America to Nazi Germany.

The examples are everywhere. Vanity Fair magazine asks if Richard Perle and Joseph Goebbels were “separated at birth.” Whole Web sites are dedicated to the most astoundingly stupid and superficial comparisons between George Bush and Hitler (they both liked dogs, for example).

At every event protesting war, Bush, America, this, that and the other thing, one can find pictures of various administration officials in SS garb or bearing Hitler mustaches. On the Web, leftwing forums like Democraticunderground.com overflow with insubstantial people bolstering their self-esteem by pretending to “speak truth to power” to the unfolding Nazification of America.

Putatively intellectual magazines, like the leftwing Nation and the New York Review of Books, feature articles that are more measured in tone and more nuanced in style than the hysteria one hears from C-Span callers or rabble-rousers at Howard Dean events, but the upshot is still the same.

James Traub, writing in The New York Times last June, detailed the trendiness of the Bush-Hitler comparison: “That’s grotesque; and the fact that is has achieved such currency among what the French call the bien pensant is vivid proof that in much of the left, 9/11 and its aftermath have increased the visceral loathing not of terrorism or of Islamist fundamentalism but of President George Bush.”

But no one seems willing to name this grotesquery plainly. It is, simply, Holocaust denial (not to mention slander against Bush and America).

If your son is murdered and I claim that it never happened, I am denying the existence of a crime. But if your son is murdered and I compare that tragedy to losing your car keys, that is a form of denial, too. And this is precisely what the “Bush equals Hitler” crowd is doing.

The Nazis murdered millions of men, women and children. Their victims weren’t “collateral damage” in a war, and they were not executed after a long and fair trial. The Nazis sent their victims to gas chambers and ovens in boxcars. Nazi scientists injected dyes into the living eyes of small children to see if they could be made “Aryan.” They made soap out of people.

What on earth has George Bush done that deserves such comparisons? What could he possibly do?

‘snip’

If you can’t show me any of these things - and you can’t - then stop calling the man a Nazi. Because when you say he’s no different from Hitler, you are also saying that Hitler is no different from George Bush. And that means that Hitler’s crimes were no worse than George Bush’s “crimes.” And whatever you think of what George Bush has done or might do, if you think any of it is the moral equivalent of the Holocaust, you are in effect saying the Holocaust really wasn’t that bad.

1837: June 7, Alois (Adolph Hitler’s father) is born illegitimately from the 42-year-old Maria Schickelgruber, most probably to the 19-year-old heir of the Jewish Frankenberger family of Graz. (Maria had been employed by the Frankenberger family in Graz as a sewing-maid at the time she fell pregnant).

Maria receives financial support up until Alois’ birth, which now terminates with a lump sum payment.
Alois’ entry in the parish baptismal register leaves the name of his father blank.

Maria Schickelgruber subsequently marries a Johann Georg ‘Hikler’ [Hiedler], who later dies before her son, Alois, begins his career as an Austrian customs officer.

1868: Alois ‘Hikler’ [Hiedler] has an illegitimate son.
1876: Alois Hikler/Hiedler’s baptismal-record at Dollersheim, Austria, is amended by the parish priest, at the request of the 77-year-old Nepomuk Hiedler, brother of the now-deceased JG ‘Hikler’ [Hiedler], supported by the ‘testimony’ of his two illiterate associates (of known dubious character) to the effect that Alois’ deceased foster-father, Johann Georg ‘Hikler’/Hiedler, had really been his biological father.
This is done to secure a career advantage for Alois in the Austrian civil service .
1880: Alois ‘Hikler’ [Hiedler] separates from his wife (moneyed and 14-years older than he) and takes the barmaid of the Gasthaus on the ground floor under his apartment/flat as his mistress.
1883: Alois’ first wife dies and he marries his mistress, who had already born him one child and bears another before dying of tuberculosis two years later.
Later, Alois changes his surname to Hitler.
c.1886: Alois marries Klara Pölzl (seventh-child of Nepomuk Hiedler’s daughter Johanna, whose married name was Pölzl), who had worked for Alois as serving-maid before his separation from his first wife. He has six children by Klara (the first being born five months after the marriage, but only two survive their early years - Adolf and Paula).
1889: Saturday, April 20: In Brannau on the river Inn, Adolf is born, the fourth child of Klara.

I wouldn’t use the Holocaust denial equivalence in either instance, but Goldberg is correct. Leaving aside the fact that the issue is a political loser.

A sarcastic statement, but there are some legitimate comparisons to be made between Obama and Hitler's Germany, as there are between Obama's governing ideology and style and those of many other authoritarian regimes. But Obama kept some of his more odious characteristics camouflaged during the last campaign, so the country was lulled into thinking that he represented something that he didn't. Obama's election represented mass denial on the part of his voters, who were too wrapped up in political correctness and not historically astute enough to see what "change" he really represents. In contrast to the Nazis, only a segment of his voters could be described as viscerally hateful. Hopefully, the backlash against his obscene health care plan will be his "Waterloo," as Sen. Jim DeMint suggested. (A comparison to Napoleon.)

No, a direct statement. There are comparisons between Obama and many, perhaps most, politicians with a tendency to tyranny. A particularly efficient method of genocide is what makes the Nazi regieme unique. It's whay the comparison is made, and it doesn't fit in Obama's case.

As to America, the clowns who contend Obama is going to round up the Jews and kill him are defaming our nation. The US isn't 1930s Germany, the US doesn't have the virulent European tradition of antisemitism, nor the tolerance for that kind of government action based on political ideology, religion or race. All preconditions for the Reich. They're not here other than in the minds of a limited number of nutballs. It's a stupid as the nuts who claim the US is still a slave nation.

Want a Nazi comparison? If those conditions were here, the folk who say Obama will round up Jews, that they don't care, and that they're getting what they deserved, think of those who tsk tsked on their balconies, only to loot Jewish apartments once the residents were gone.

most probably to the 19-year-old heir of the Jewish Frankenberger family of Graz.

Well... and that part is just speculation. There is no PROOF of it. So how can you say it's "the truth".
