Wasn’t he actually at -12 a week or two ago?

The only difference this time is Corzine is extremely unpopular, I mean he is detested, just like Jim Florio was in 1993. You’re right though, NJ voters (alive and dead) have a reputation of usually gravitating to the democrat at the end, but this time, just like 1993, it may turn out differently.

He seems to do bad on weekends lately. But I wonder what caused that spike in his approval a couple days ago.

So do I. If 69% of likely voters are Democrats, we’re in trouble.

Leaving aside armed rebellion, which I fear will play into their hands in all the ways everyone has already outlined, what can we do if/when this terrifying bill passes, in whatever form for now?

We will have 3 years before it actually takes full effect, although some aspects may show up immediately in the form of a price war among the insurance companies and the inclusion of many of the points contained in the single-payer option being made available in private insurance.

How many seats do we need to take to block zerO for the next 2 years after midterms?

I have been wondering if Ghandi-style civil disobedience would be effective? Thousands of citizens sitting in the street singing “We Shall Not Be Moved”. Universal work strikes. Tax strikes.Every voter who feels vulnerable accompanied by two large young militarily trained men as they go to the polls. (I actually had this scenario happen to me at a Bush rally in 2004. The leftists had blocked the exits to the parking lots and were forcing the attendees to walk out of their way to get to their cars. I saw two tall, young soldiers and asked them if they would accompany me through the mess and they did. One had to deflect an elbow aimed at my head by a protester. I was 61 and am about 5’3” and under 130 pounds).

We need tactics and strategies that can be implemented by individuals and fall short of violence, which will give them an excuse to enact martial law and emergency statutes.

approval number is all the way down to 31%. But his disapproval numbers aren’t rising much,

It could also mean those who no longer approve aren't disapproving (yet) either. Typically the case with disappointed/ disillusioned Democrats.

Tracking should also show that Congress approval is tanking with their beloved Furher.

Please join the “You’re Fired” Campaign putting politicians in office on notice. The American people have been betrayed. Arrogant Elitist Politicians care about nothing but personal power. Please read the details of this campaign and forward this to your email address book. Print it out and hand it to your neighbors and friends. Our country and our freedom are at stake as well as your children and grandchildren’s futures. If you do nothing else, forward this to everyone and forward it to your elected Elitist. Time to clean out the Congress and start over with patriotic Americans with integrity that love this country more than their own personal power.

Obama has dug himself into a big hole, but his ego won’t let him put down the shovel...so we can either bury him, or fall into the hole with him, it’s our choice.

With the generic Congressional polls looking favorable to the Rs,
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/mood_of_america/generic_congressional_ballot

this stat takes on more meaning also:

“The President earns approval from 85% of Democrats while 84% of Republicans disapprove”

Once again, the dim bulbs are brain dead..

People may not be happy with the two party system. But it’s what we have (unless there’s a HUGE social upheaval of the sort that abolition was - perhaps we’re heading there with this ultimate struggle against socialism/communism). That said, historically, legally, and practically the system is setup for two parties - and all third party efforts since the 1850s have dismally failed electorally.

What we can do is pull the R party back to its conservative roots - and we need to do that constantly and heading into every primary supporting the conservative candidates - forcing all Rs to take more conservative public stances.

That, we can and must do.

It was the release of the journalists from NK that elevated his strongly approve for a couple of days.

That might suggest that independents who have abandoned him have already reached the limit and his disapproval won’t rise much more. I hope that’s not the case.
++++++++++++++++++

This about this. Many of those independents probably voted for the one. Now they may have thought a couple weeks ago, is he really THIS bad...and started to disapprove...and week by week, I think that disapproval will be solidified and strengthened, with little ebs and flows...

It’s seriously like the stock market...you can fool people for a while, but eventually the true valuation of a company IS reflected in the numbers...and there are weird ebs and flows.

I think we’re solidifying this base and, in with the jubilee of a short seller, we’re headin’ down baby!

Further on the What if they dont care track. I think this is bigger than ‘94, dems could lose 60+ in the house and 10 inthe senate.

I seriously doubt that 69% of likely voters are rats. Conservatives tend to be more diligent about voting. The last election was an exception because ostammer is black so the blacks turned out in record number to vote for him. I guess having their electric bill double and not being able to get squat for medical care is fine, as long as the ax is being wielded by a black man. Maybe that mentality is why it was and is so easy for them to be captured by other blacks to be sold into slavery.

I think ostammer and his party will lose part of the Hispanic and Asian vote and a large part of the white vote, but blacks and Jews will never leave the rat plantation. 2010 may be the first time in decades that the rats lose the senior vote.

Right, the more ramming (or should I say rahm-ing) and punching, the more they lose, and the greater we’ll rebound and overturn much of the insanity.
