Turn off the failed Media. They are never going to give you validation. It all propaganda all the time.
...Back from Church....
I think you meant naive.
But the point is YOU are already convinced (like me). YOU oppose the plan. Our objective must be to reach those who are NOT convinced or involved. If we can plant doubts in their minds, we'll win. I'm simply talking about the best way to do that. We've got their attention right now. Ask yourself: is our MESSAGE getting through or are they just seeing how "angry" we are? The answer matters.
Oh lordy, the women on Steffie’s panel are just gushing over Sotomayor, who is an intellectual lightweight, a bigot and a liar.
Truly, DC is a very strange place.
Why have you and the rest off the journalistic clown posse been talking for months now about the Democrats "Health care bill" then?
Try goggling the term Democrat Health Care Bill and see how many "news" stories there are about this supposedly "non existent"Bill
Or, they're in on it with the democrats. For the smarter people in the media, I think this is true. However, I don't think journalist majors are at the top of the gene pool, intellectually. Also, there is a "party" mentality for journalist majors that eschews hard work and doggedness, so they just don't try very hard to ascertain the truth, either.
"Hey, the DNC just faxed this in! We don't have to go investigate now! Anyway, it's too hot, and I just had my hair done. Who's got the keg?"
Amen...he did it without a draft or a tax increase. Shoot, he took out Saddam while missing one third of his forces!
Iraq will be THE textbook case for future warfare.
Yes, Pat. I agree---and the people "shouting" don't need teleprompters.
More than anything the media coverage reminds me of the way they cover voter fraud. Somehow, no matter how thuggish the Dem groups behave, the media focuses on “GOP voter suppression”. Indict dozens of ACORN workers? The media treats them as individuals, not part of an “organization”. Discarded military ballots...they didn’t meet the deadline! Felons voting...well, why shouldn’t they?! (even though it’s...well, a felony!)
It’s maddening. I went to Florida during the 2000 recount. The media were all set to portray us as paid-for mobs and thugs. Actually, it was our humor that tempered them a little. (Not that I’m ignoring that now they’ve returned to their meme that we were a Brooks Brothers mob.)
That is so strange, but we have the "zero tolerance" in our schools now....even a butter knife in a car gets a kid expelled.
p.s. Good to hear your dad is improving!
Yes, I agee.
I thought I was the only FReeper that did that. I feel so much better.
: )
Like too many people on the Right, you look to the Dinosaur media for validation. You are NEVER going to get it. They are NEVER going to put anyone effective on air. Never. You all saw that with Palin. They edited and spun and out right ignore what she said to propaganda what her enemies said about her.
Trying to "manage" the media is exactly what GOT the GOP into the minority. Turn it off. Talk Radio talks to FAR more people every week then ALL the broadcast "news" shows. Quit looking to your enemies for validation. Instead look to your freinds.
We need to stay out of the way. Rather then try to turn this into a Democrat vrs Republican fight, we should leave it alone. Instead the GOP should be showing them what a Republican reform plan would look like. Say "Hmm well we don't have the votes but if we DID get the votes, here is what WE would do". Don't try to impose the GOP between the people and the Dems. Let the Democrats alienate their own voters all on their own.
Old rule in politics, when your opponent is digging themselves into a hole, let them.
I also give a huge amount of credit to Gen Tommy Franks and his subordinate commanders. Of course kudos also have to go to R.W.Reagan for creating the National Training Center. Nothing in our national history has improved the war fighting abilities of our soldiers like the NTC did.
