[RINO] Crist may cancel summit on climate change [RINOs under attack by conservatives]

Gov. Charlie Crist said he wasn't sure if he would host another climate-change summit and is backing away from his cap-and-trade energy policy.

BY MARC CAPUTO

TALLAHASSEE -- Gov. Charlie Crist is cooling to global warming.

Under mounting criticism from fellow Republicans, Crist looks ready to cancel his climate-change summit and is backing away from advocating a "cap-and-trade" energy policy.

At his well-publicized climate summit last summer, Crist pushed a number of energy plans to encourage renewable energy development and establish a cap-and-trade market that would penalize fossil-fuel use.

But Crist's plans were shredded by the Republican Legislature and his cap-and-trade proposal has been bashed as a "tax" by his Republican U.S. Senate opponent, Marco Rubio, who has been ardently courting the GOP's conservative wing.

"Well, it may be [a tax]. That may be accurate," Crist, who recently signed an anti-tax pledge, said Thursday.

He would not say whether he stills backs his own plan or similar versions in Congress.

I agree purge the RINO Crist. If he were to get elected he would go back to his socialist global warming tax and spend liberal he is in his heart.

I’ve contributed $50 to the Rubio campaign.

All he needs to get Sarah down to FL to campaign for him and he should be able to take out the RINO Crist.

I am for Rubio myself. Christ is such a RINO. But we need all RINOS Moderates Libertarians and Independents to help stop Obama. What a situation. Crist has to appoint someone to fill the seat he is going to run for to replace RINO Martinez.

Now if we can just get him to “pull a Specter”, along with Steele, Powell, the Maine snow queens and a host of other RINOS then we can get down to the business of taking back our country.

Whadda ya mean, "he would not say"?

OF COURSE he still backs it.

No one who supports this crap actually believes in the "carbon theory". It's a tool, a technique, to rally the stupid behind what they have always rejected straight up, namely, communism.

That Crist EVER even considered supporting such a thing when he thought it could do him some good PERMANENTLY disqualifies him from ANY office of trust or profit under the United States.

The press could have just as easily written "Under mounting criticism of the global warming hysteria by scientists"

Charlie has "read the tea leaves" and has become aware that being a Warmist will cost him a lot of votes.

"Sorry Charlie"

And as soon as he's re-elected he'll "rediscover" warming.
