Obama and Public Debate George Joyce At a town hall meeting in Chester, Va. back in August last year candidate Obama had this to say about the important value of public debate regarding health care:
"People say, 'Well, you have this great health care plan, but how are you going to pass it? You know, it failed in '93,' And what I've said is, I'm going to have all the negotiations around a big table. We'll have doctors and nurses and hospital administrators. Insurance companies, drug companies they'll get a seat at the table, they just won't be able to buy every chair. But what we will do is, we'll have the negotiations televised on C-SPAN, so that people can see who is making arguments on behalf of their constituents, and who are making arguments on behalf of the drug companies or the insurance companies. And so, that approach, I think is what is going to allow people to stay involved in this process."
Just a couple of days ago, at a town hall occasion again in Virginia - Mr. Obama had the following to say about value of public debate regarding his plan for the nations economy:
"I don't want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking. I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess.
Well, for some reason the health care negotiations never made it to C-SPAN, and Mr. Obama seems determined to eliminate some healthy debate on Americas economic recovery. In light of our proximity to economic catastrophe maybe there just isnt enough time for these sorts of civic luxuries.
While Candidate Obama sounds like a truly committed servant of the people, President Obama sounds, well, like something else entirely. Strange.
Obama had a debate with McCain.
Afterwords, while talking about the debate, he flipped McCain the bird.
Yes, I remember both of those instances. But only because I look for information on the internet.
When the SEIU beat up an innocent black man, and the Obama Administration promptly congratulated the SEIU for their good work, the Administration stepped over the line big time. The Democrats will get no help from me, and that includes the Democrats in the news media.
"I don't want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking.
I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess.
Here we go!!"
“...President Obama sounds, well, like something else entirely.”
He’s working himself up to be the tan Mussolini.
He’s not just a dope, like Carter.
He’s a nightmare.
Why were you helping them anyway.......????
We are SO SCREWED. The MEDIA has let the WORLD down, letting this imposter become Pres.ent. SOMETHING BIG has to happen so that even the media wake up and start to tell the truth.
Morticians. Don't forget the morticians. They'll have a major role to play in the shovel ready SeniorCare part of Obamacare.
I know GRRRR, I just am not sure what it is.
Dan Rather forged documents to take down a sitting president of the United States. And they give him awards.
Thou shalt not bear false witness means absolutely nothing to these people, and it can destroy this country.
LOL.
And then not funny.
Well done.
However, my bet is over half the people of this country would have no idea what the hammer and sickle represent or what cccp stood for or why many see Hitlereseque or Stalinesque dangers in the behavior of this administration and the Dems in Congress.
Of course half of them wouldn’t know who Hitler or Stalin were or what murderous thugs they were.
Unfortunately, therefore, it is those who DO know, who DO understand, who HAVE studied history, who LOVE freedom and hate TYRANNY who must do the hard work today of fighting to preserve that freedom.
They have the money, they have the Congress and the WH, they have the thugs. But they do not have the minds and hearts and resolve of millions of freedom loving Americans. I just hope it is enough to stop the bulldozing of our freedoms.
Well done - mark!
OK, so 0bama lied about the CNN thing? Go figger! Thank God that he’s only lying when his lips are moving.
It’s time to take back the country.
