To: worst-case scenario
part of the problem is that some of the health care meetings, like the one in Tampa, actually WERE SEIU information sessions for their member

Factually incorrect. Read your own link. It was an open meeting by the Congress critter with SEIU listed as a co host. It is an open public meeting that the Democrat party was inviting the public to attend. Then when the public DID attend, the Democrat party bosses had a fit.

Here is a picture of a Democrat party official slapping a peaceful protester at the very public meeting you wrongly claim was an SEIU event.

Yes I understand that it was an open public meeting - does Florida have a Sunshine Law like NJ? Then it would be an open punlic meeting.

And it was announced on the NC Dems website, which is where the original confusion about who sponsored it came from.

However, though Castor was invited, it was not HER meeting.

This is what that link says:

“Health Care Reform Meeting with State Rep Betty Reed & SEIU

Event Location: The Childrens Board - 1002 E Palm Ave, Tampa

Event Description:
Join us and make your voice heard on health care insurance reform!

Healthcare Reform Meeting- Hosted by Rep. Betty Reed & SEIU

Your Chance to Provide Input and Ask Questions to Your Elected Officials and Candidates
Date:
Thursday, August 6, 2009
Time:
6:00pm - 9:00pm
Location:
Children’s Board
Street:
1002 E Palm Ave
City/Town:
Tampa, FL

Featuring an update from Congress on HR 3200
Congresswoman Kathy Castor “

It was hosted by SEIU.

That is why the Union President (the woman in the blue suit) is at the beginning of the tape welcoming “our members” to the meeting before she introduces Rep. Castor.

That is why the place was packed with union members - it was intended to be an question-and-answer session about the health care legislation for the union members with Rep. Castor.

I never said thatthere were not Dem officials there - there obviously were.

All I said is that it was originally an SEIU event intended primarily for their members. I am not wrong. The presence of an DEm official there does noy change the fact that this was an event hosted by the SEIU, not the Democratic organization. That is the reason that there were so many SEIU members there.

I believe that my own link verifies my position. If you disagree, then I cannot change your mind, no matter what sort of evidence I provide.

It’s sort of like the Obama b/c - even if a long form certificate were provided, that would not be sufficient for many people.
