The St. Louis Tea Party will hold a press conference and peaceable protest at SEIU Headquarters 5585 Pershing Ave., Suite 130, St. Louis, MO 63112 at Noon Saturday, August 8, 2009
snip The Tea Party specifically requests the NAACP and the ACLU to come out in support of Kenneth Gladneys rights which were trampled by these hooligans. We call on Representative Russ Carnahan to denounce the beating. We call on President Obama to denounce the beatings. We call on St. Louis County to prosecute the assailants to fullest extent of the law.

Can you imagine if they had Free Republic leading up to the Revolutionary War? I bet the responses would be similar.
Well why don't we go down to Crawford, then and camp out until Bush comes out and talks to us?
Totally. SEIU brought in 1 million Hispanics last year and used them to hammer the vote in November (which fact they proudly proclaim). If an “International” union of pro Obama thugs can be used for illegal political ends, they can be used for incitement, intimidation and violence. And yesterday proved it. When the Mariela boat people were brought to my home state after Castro dumped them into the sea, and they started harming the citizens in the streets, we organized groups to patrol. We had virtually all 1,100 gone in a matter of months - either in prison, jail or left the state. It wasn’t pretty or nice or pleasant. It was merely effective.
These thugs aren't Bush.
With a heads up, half of East STL will be happy to stop by if their mothers ask them to.
Glenn has been a Freeper for over 11 years, so I doubt if he’s with DU.
I’m not sure what your concern is, Glenn. The event is a Press Conference and peaceable protest. It is on a public street. The media will be there, I’m sure police will be there, and many attendees will have cameras rolling. I do not believe the SEIU members are imprudent enough to become violent in those circumstances. If they are, it will be a PR disaster for them.
I will be going.
Hell...ILL stand behind you....covering your 6 as we walk into the valley of death....and Im 56 and 170...every inch spitting mad!
It is not your size. It's what's in your heart that counts.
I used to work part-time for the brown trucks. I was a Teamster. I loaded about 6 tons of boxes into trucks and containers a night. One night after finishing up our belts sort, they sent me to sort envelopes. They called break. After break, the buzzer sounded the one minute warning to go back to work. I was very tired because I also had a day job and it was 2 in the morning. I went back to sorting envelopes 30 seconds too early. The union steward, who was 6-5, 260 and a bully, walked up to me and told me to go to hell. He was a foot taller and a 110 pounds bigger than me. I stood on my tippy toes, flexed my muscles and told him FU! He backed off. This was witnessed by 20 people(mostly women). Everybody hated this guy because he was a bully and was finally called out by me, a shrimp. He quit his job there 1 week later later.
I like the NAACP and ACLU move.
Also, they should be pushing for a hate crime indictment since racial slurs were used.
Glenn, I apologize for my negative remarks towards you.
Being that you are uncomfortable with what is coming down, you need to stay at home for your own safety. Those folks who fear as you do (nothing wrong with that) are generally the first ones to get hurt.
More importantly, those like yourself who are worried about safety, please stay at home because you will be a danger to the rest. This is not a putdown. It is fact.
Again, may apologies for being on the nasty side.
So I should be afraid of black people?
Don’t forget tasers.
Im going
Bring a camera!!! Bring friends!!! Bring it!!!
It's not about fear. It's about picking your battles. I hear a lot of tough talk on this thread, but how many of you have actually been in a battle that turned ugly?
This thing will essentially be a racial face off.
I like it.
“Dont forget tasers.”
Glad you brought that up. I had been thinking the same.
With all due respect, I disagree.
It's pointing the finger of blame exactly where it belongs.
This protest must be peaceful. IF SEIU is violent (and it is their nature) it will only help our cause. Technology hurts them. Even Iran cannot lock down the net. We can stop them.
Emulating MLK is a bad choice of battle?
Are you in SEIU or something?
Grow a pair!
