Could the Tea Party protests morph into a third political party and be successful?
I’d sign up for the Cocktail Party.
But really I’m open for a change.
Right now it is more like a valley forge party going on.
Myself I’m for working within the Republican Party to elect conservatives. I’m not for dividing up the vote and making it easier for the dimocRATS to get elected.
A third party would be successful at electing democrats.
I like it.
I think the way to do it is to overhaul the GOP and then rename it the Tea Party, but it would take some effort and it would need to be a significantly different party to justify the name change.
Not right now. As much as the Republicans disgust me they are the only way to halt the Communist advance. We are forced to support Republicans for now. I have been as opposed to RINOS as anyone. But we must regain the House next year or it is over. It is doable but we can not be distracted right now by a third Party. Obama must be stopped at all cost.

The Pubbies are dead. They’ve been tainted by name like the Bush family. Jeb would be an excellent president, but NO ONE would vote for another Bush after the last two.
We need another party, I agree. Constitution Party, America Party, something serious and meaningful. The Whig Party is not up for discussion, as it were.

I wouldn’t mind a third party or moving to a parliamentary system where we could vote our leader out of office. Zero has already risen to that level.
Two words: “Runoff Elections”. Without runoff elections, you’re never doing anything other than screwing yourself voting for a third party candidate.
The Constitution Party - that’s the best name.
But we mustn’t split the GOP. Get it to rename or rather re-brand itself.

No. At the moment we only have one political party under two names. We must take back the Republican Party from the RINOS who have made it DemocRAT-light.
As it stands now, both parties are currently taking us to the same place, The RINOS are just getting us there at a slightly - very slightly - slower pace.
All we lack at the moment is an effective leader who is bold, unafraid, and able to accurately, and passionately articulate conservative principles. This will automatically inspire the American people (including grass-roots Democrats).
