Forty-one percent (41%) of U.S. voters have a favorable opinion of the people opposing health care reform at town hall meetings now being conducted by members of Congress, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.
But 35% view the protesters unfavorably. Twenty-three percent (23%) are not sure what they think of them.
Given the partisan anger prompted by the town hall meetings, its not surprising to see a similar divide in the survey. Fifty-five percent (55%) of Democrats have an unfavorable view of those opposing the health care reform plan proposed by President Obama and the leaders of their party. Sixty-three percent (63%) of Republicans and the plurality (48%) of voters not affiliated with either party view the protesters favorably.
Senior Democrats charge that many of the protests at the town hall meetings are orchestrated by special interests, but 49% of voters believe, generally speaking, that the protesting citizens are reflecting the concerns of their neighbors.
Thirty-seven percent (37%) think the protests are phony efforts drummed up by special interest groups and lobbyists. Fourteen percent (14%) are not sure.
...
The partisan divide is even wider when the motivations of the protesters are at issue. Seventy percent (70%) of Republicans and 58% of unaffiliated voters say the protesters reflect the concerns of their neighbors. Sixty-one percent (61%) of Democrats say the protests are phony.
Sixty-three percent (63%) of liberals say the protests are motivated by special interests, while 69% of conservatives say theyre driven by local concerns.
Earlier this year, despite complaints from the White House and top Democrats, 51% of Americans had a positive opinion of the tea parties held nationwide on April 15.

Is that how many people live off me?
Here is what they are going to try to do to silence us:
1) bring more people to events than we do;
2) arrive earlier than we do and sit up front to be very visible to cameras;
3) study venue staging ahead of time to plan strategy
4) be more visible than we are and situate their signs where cameras are;
5) assign 3-5 people to approach each reporter to shape the narrative;
6) interrupt us and refocus the meeting;
7) dont debate us and prep their side with questions;
8) repetition of their talking points is key to their strategy;
9) organize their own town hall meetings and choose a venue that is difficult for us to attend; put protesters in the back; make us submit questions and select the questions to be asked; collect all signs and leaflets that are not the ones they provided;
10) assign people to greet reporters and enter and leave the meeting with them to minimize the chances we will have to speak to the reporters.
Now they are sending union thugs to the meetings as “security.” Perhaps citizens with disabilities should voice concerns so the cameras can catch the union thugs threatening little old ladies, war veterans, and the disabled.
Sam Adams is rolling over in his grave!
Great pictures of crazy, scary, vicious anti-Obamacare “mobsters”.

Oh they have an opinion. Just intimidated into NOT voicing it.
Even more simple than that, they are busing in rent a mob union members and packing the front of rooms, no regular citizens will be allowed in, just like one of his town hall meetings with the managed questions.
They have never been nor met a person that is able to decide something for themselves!
After the liberal news media had the unmitigated gall to follow the Democrats’ lead regarding the people who object to the “health care reform” bill, it’s not surprising that people have an unfavorable view.
A conservative is a liberal that has been mugged.
That’s a very close devide with alot of “not sure’s”.
With recent good news for Obama with the N. Korea hostages and the economic news, he just might be able to persude those not sure’s to his side.
We may be on to Obama, but most people still think he’s a “cool dude”. If he starts rising in the polls again Cap and Trade and Obamacare will soon be permanent fixtures in our lives.

CBS news just spun this as ‘the mob’ sponsored by Rush Limbaugh and rich ‘special interest’ groups. I and most have never been contacted by or had any contact with any organization.
“I am constantly amazed by the abject stupiity of some people. How can you be against free speech?”
I have some liberal family members, with whom I no longer have contact, and they are as hard hearted and dark minded as you can imagine. It is complete, total and hopeless. They are ready to completely entrust their lives, and the lives of all of us, to a few hundred men in D.C. whom they have never met, don’t know and don’t know anything about. And for no other reason than they say a few nice sounding words. It boggles the mind that any person would be this way. This shockingly foolish. When I questioned them about it and asked them to explain how they justify it they won’t. They just get snotty. So, as of a few days ago, I’m done with them. It should have happened years ago.
The more the sheeple learn about what they are about to lose and what it's going to cost them, he'll drop even further....("if you think health cost is expensive now,wait till it's free")
The key is to spread the word,post the videos,post the speeches....DON'T EVER GIVE UP
