Column 666, about President Obama

This is the 666th column in this weekly series. It had to be spent on an overarching subject. So it is.

President Barack Obama is the most accomplished liar I have ever encountered, and that includes several pathological liars I faced in court. The best of those I could not rattle even with a well-prepared and vigorous cross-examination. Only the weight of solid facts from other sources served to expose and defeat those people.

Pathological liars can give the impression that they are telling the truth because they are smooth, accomplished, and effective. But the most important reason is that they have learned to lie to themselves. When they tell a bald-faced lie, right to your face, they actually believe what they are saying.

I’ll use exactly one example. On the campaign trail, Obama repeatedly said that “no one earning less than $250,000 a year will pay any additional taxes.” This was his definition of the middle class, in his universal mantra of no new taxes for the bulk of Americans.

Now, two members of his Cabinet on Sunday talk shows, plus tax cheat Charlie Rangel, who yet remains as Chairman of the House Committee that writes the tax laws, have all made the same remark on television in front of God and everybody. That statement was that “tax iucreases on the middle class might be necessary to pay for the President’s health care plan.”

In between those comments by other Democrats, President Obama trotted out his mouthpiece, Robert Gibbs, to “assure” the press, and through them the people, that Obama was sticking to his “repeated pledge not to raise taxes on the middle class.”

Let’s review for a moment, The Cap and Trade Bill now wandering through Congress is the President’s plan to reduce the use of carbon, by taxing it heavily. Those taxes will be on necessities like gasoline, electricity, cooking gas, and diesel for trains and trucks that deliver almost all the products that almost all Americans rely on. In a brief moment of candor, candidate Obama said that this program would increase the cost of electricity, etc., and “nearly double the cost.”

Well, when you tax necessities that everyone needs to buy, those taxes will be ultimately be paid by the consumers. Most consumers are, by definition, members of the middle class. Obama has made clear that he intends to sign the Cap and Trade Bill if it reaches his desk.

Add to that Obama’s claim that his Health Care “Reform” will be tax neutral. If there was an ounce of truth in that, the Administration would not have buried, repeatedly, proposals to keep American taxpayers from being on the hook to pay for health care for 17 million citizens of other nations.

A line from a justly obscure Joey Bishop movie comes to mind: “Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?” A line from Alexander Hamilton also comes to mind: people with “talents for low intrigue and the little arts of popularity” do not belong in the White House. Hamilton assumed that the Electoral College would prevent that result. He was wrong.

Throw in a quote from Thomas Jefferson: “It is a wise rule never borrow a dollar without laying a tax in the same instant or paying the interest annually and the principal in a reasonable term.” Jefferson considered it “immoral” to “burden the next generation” with our debts.

Because of the huge and unprecedented deficits now being run up, the issue is not just the taxes on us adults. They are also on our children, and ultimately on our grandchildren.

There is no way to prevent President Obama from lying. He has a natural talent. He leaves all others in the dust. What we can do is keep the pressure on Members of Congress, who either cannot or won’t read the bills. Obama cannot be silenced, but he can, at least, be cut off at the knees if enough of his Congressional enablers are knocked out of office in 2010. That means both Republicans and Democrats who have bought into Obama’s lies about taxes.

Brings back unhappy memories for me. I married one of them 37 years ago. She lied about whom she was, and further acted the role of a truly perfect lady right up to the day of the wedding. Head spinning experience. Divorced her Leftiness 34 years ago. Been married to a great Conservative for 31 years now.

I should have known better than to fall into that trap as I was raised in a Leftist Hollywood nuthouse. I attribute my Conservative nature to the fact I was an obssesive reader in my youth, and in what I read always common sense and morality were winning features. I observed that trend in my readings and found truth, and ultimately found GOD in spite of the lunacy that surrounded me.

This current presentation of Obama and the Trolls is Deja Vu for my wife and myself as we were married just prior to the height of the lunacy of the Carter misAdministration.

Are you referring to “666”?

If so, this refers to Christianity.

6=man (created on the 6th day and replacing the Son)
6= Holy Spirit (man sees himself as not needing the Holy Spirit and has replaced Him)
6=God the Father replaced by man

In other words man has replaced the Trinity, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We are not a “Christian nation”. We do things as we see fit. Christ's example is NOT what we follow. We ignore the Holy Spirit. It is worship of Satan in many forms - money, sex “addiction”, abuse etc..

Numbers carry heavy symbolic meaning in the Bible. They are used to convey certain truths and to “make a point” when necessary. That being said, numbers are not, in and of themselves, intrinsically “evil”. Certainly, the thoughts, deeds and desires behind numbers can be evil, like someone who does satanic deeds or rituals “in the name of 666” - again, that doesn’t mean that the number is terrible, but that the intention behind the deed is evil.

Why is the number “666” significant?

Well, the number 3 is seen as perfect. Think about the Trinity, the fact that He rose on the third day, the three theological virtues, etc. At the same time, the number 7 is seen as the perfect number. The seven days of the week, the seven Sacraments, the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, the seven works of mercy, the seven last words on the Cross, etc.

To be one “short” of 7 is seen as being imperfect. Thus, to fall short of 7 three times (666) is perfect imperfection. In the verse from Revelation (above) the number is characterized as a person (a beast, actually), which can mean more than one person but a group of people. The “name” of the beast is the summation (adding up) of the different numerical values of letters – that final sum equals out to six hundred sixty six. If you’re scratching your head right now and thinking, “Huh?” Keep reading.

You see, while numbers carry symbolic meaning in Scripture, they also carry numeric value, ascribed to letters. In Greek and Hebrew, letters are used for numbers and there is a value (numeric) that corresponds to every letter in those alphabets. In our alphabet, A would be 1 or Z would be 26 – you get the idea. When you add up the numbers values in a name or a word, they will equal a sum total, for instance. Say “A” did equal 1 and “N” equaled 14…the name “anna” would equal (1 + 14 + 14 + 1 = 30). Make sense?

That being said, the number six hundred-sixty six carries a different significance depending upon who you choose to listen to on the subject. Over the years, people have used the number to point to Napoleon Bonaparte, to corrupt Popes, to religious reformers like Martin Luther, to people like Mussolini, Hitler and Saddam Hussein. Not long ago, people were doing loose math to ascribe the number to Osama bin Laden.

Most Biblical scholars attribute the number to Nero Caesar, if you take the values of the Hebrew consonants in his name, it equals 666. Nero was a vicious Roman emperor and murder of many Christians in the early Church. It is said that “Nero fiddled, while Rome burned”. It would stand to reason, too, since Revelation was a apocalyptic book of symbolism and vision given to St. John (writer of the 4th Gospel and beloved disciple of Jesus) while he was exiled on the island of Patmos. He was encouraging the churches under persecution in a time when most of his counterparts and fellow disciples had been martyred for the faith.

It’s important that you never don’t mess with the devil, for Scripture warns us:

“Be sober and vigilant. Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for (someone) to devour.” - 1 Peter 5:8

That being said, you need not fear the devil, either, he is not Jesus’ equal, he is an angel, he is not equal with God. When you are feeling attacked or if you feel the presence of evil, you need only call upon the name of Christ and He will send His angels to surround you and protect you.

St. Michael kicks the devil’s forked tail each and every time:

“Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. The dragon and its angels fought back, but they did not prevail and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. The huge dragon, the ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, who deceived the whole world, was thrown down to earth, and its angels were thrown down with it.” - Rev. 12:7-9
God has the devil’s number…He wins the war.

God has your number, too. Whether or not you respond when He calls…well, that’s up to you.

I personally do NOT believe that “666” is attached to one single person but rather of the decline of our culture directly reflected in lack of belief in God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - that is the three that represents Christianity.

"It is beyond my comprehension how any one with even the most remote cognitive and reasoning skills could support the fool in light of his OUTRIGHT LIES!"

Several factors have created the perfect storm.

Having lived in Michigan, I realized the USA is filled with a lot of high-functioning morons. They get by in life, but not without a lot of help from their friends (i.e. other taxpayers, union bosses, community organizers, etc.). They are net "takers" from the system and they gladly give up liberty for greater prosperity. Their overlords tell them what to think and they have to accept it since they metaphorically live at home with their parents.

These high-functioning morons then pass on their infectious malady to subsequent generations - their children, or they become a unionized teacher to dull the minds of many. Look at the recent Dallas Morning Snooze article about DFW students basically flunking their freshman year at college.

Highly correlated to this pattern is the racially "disadvantaged". They live in substandard conditions due to their indoctrinated belief that people of another color and socioeconomic status are keeping them down, when in fact it is their venerated community organizers who have crafted an entire industry out of oppressing the ignorant and blaming this on others. Like Michele Obama's patient shifting scam at the Chicago hospital that paid her big bucks to promote their service to the underprivileged, only to ship their dead beat a$$es off to another facility to make room for the wealthy paying customers.

After 2 generations of this bludgeoning, it produces sufficient mass to elect the community organizers to scale up the program. Add in 15 to 20 million illegal aliens who are given a vote, and the ignorance goes systemic.
