I don’t live in Florida, I drove over from Mississippi and spent several days there. I had never been active in politics before but i could not stand by and watch the Florida and Chicago thugs steal that election.
You don't get it. These people show up with their mind ALREADY made up.
The only thing that will sway them is seeing the anger of the People for themselves.

From what's been posted, every thing was fine until the goons showed up, so don't point fingers at people's behavior because they REFUSE to be pushed around by political bullies anymore.

Lighten up - I am only asking you a question and not putting words in your mouth. You are doing a good job all on your own. By your last statement, you are still prepared to give the Media their “sound bite” of those “Nazis pushing back hard on our poor officials.” If we are daunted by criticism from the Left, and believe moral equivalency in tactics, then we’re doomed. Even Jesus blew his stack and raged through the temple. Should we do any less? WE’re already the Enemy of the STate, so what’s the difference?

Let me ask an honest question: Are there particular ways to protest what these socialist legislators are doing that are NOT advantageous to liberty's cause? If so, what are they?
I don't think we disagree one iota on the diabolical nature of the left and the urgency to push back as hard as possible. I think we're just not in agreement on method. I want the most effective means in fighting the leftists to be employed - toward the same goal. Understand? Laser sharp debate, boldly and loudly exposing the left's lies (not hard to do), apologetically calling a spade a spade, writing well-composed letters to the editor - all of these are excellent means to push back, as well as attending town hall meetings and being heard. Townhall.com does an excellent job of posting articulate pieces from some of the best conservative minds to be found. I want more of this type of debate at actual town hall meetings.
Dude - time out - I agree with you. However, the Left has figured out the attention span of the Media (less than 10 seconds). YOu don’t get to go on and on if you are from the Patriot side. YOu don’t get to debate at these forums. You get a few minutes to let your congressperson know how angry you are. Letters to the editor and conservative journals are good for preaching to the choir. We simply have to get the majority back in the House come 2010. That’s where we need to be putting most our energy and $$$, I think. I will go to Tea Parties (show of numbers is good). If you are saying that we need to keep ourselves disciplined and not ranting lunatics, you are absolutely correct - no sense giving CNN its 5 second spot of the Nazis Gone Wild!
I'm having a change of heart about the protests at the meetings, especially after reading about and seeing some of the goon tactics perpetrated by the leftists. The disruptions are getting attention, and that's a great thing - especially when the congresscum are parroting leftist talking points incessantly. They need to be called out as liars immediately.
Dingell in Detroit was shocked at the outrage shown in his townhall forum. I doubt if these guys ever had a handful of people come to these things. Well, never before has the Govt. encroached so aggressively and negatively into our lives. This health care sham legislation allows the feds full access to our bank accounts and personal records. You will have no other choice. This is every much a turning point for our country as 1776 and 1860 and WW2. The Sleeping Giant awakens once again! Our survival as free people is at stake. I am not afraid of the Goons, especially the big ones in the WH - I want them afraid of me.
