MrB, if you look at my posts, I think you’ll find me firmly on your side.
From here on in, I believe, there’s going to have to be a GOOD DEAL more of the old traditional “civil disobedience” of the type practiced by Martin Luther King, but hardly ever on display by anti-Communists/Socialists/Big GOvernment Demagogues......it’s going to have to be created on the fly, since we’re just not used to it and have no “tradition” to refer to. We are going to have to throw ourselves into the gears of the machinery, and STOP the Machine. As a former Leftist when it was appropriate to be one (the ages of 16 and 21, forty years ago) I can tell you it’s the ONLY thing that will work this time around, and even THAT is not guaranteed unless it’s done right/
I think some of the protest signs need to start saying things like "Make the Unions pay, too!".
People need to start realizing the hypocisy and cynicism of calling out the unions to support this when they're going to be exempted from paying for it.
As the lyrics of the song goes “you’ve got a fight for your right to party.” Evidently.
One little nugget that I gleened from the article
was that the cops stood by and did nothing to stop
the assault. Then they briefly talked with the assaultees
after the thugs had been allowed to leave.
Is that you McCain?
Then please explain your call for passivism in the face of violence by government supporting thugs.
Someone touches me for speaking at a political event,
they’re going to pull back a mangled stump.
Nope all you need is around 545 “Henry Bowmans” with one target and a couple hundred thousand “John Galts”.
Are the police unions going to be exempt from Obamacare?
“Are the police unions going to be exempt from Obamacare?”
Under Obama, union members are part of an elite class. They get preferential treatment in bankruptcy, tax and benefit packages. They are protected from layoffs and economic downturns by their RAT masters who would rather let their states go bankrupt than allow any harm to come to these useless parasites.
Sorry, but being polite is what caused McCain to lose. Being polite is what puts us at a disadvantage. If everybody was polite in 2000, Bush would have lost.
It was a bunch of people getting MAD AS HELL in Florida and pounding on doors that stopped the ballot shenanigans.
The success of the Left is based on the fact that they take advantage of politeness and civility to get their way.
On the contrary. The amount of ANGER and PASSION at the meeting can be counted on to be translated into ANGER, PASSION, and ENERGY in November 2010.
More like over 200 years, since I count the French Revolution and the Terror as being Leftist seizures of power.
Hitler never did get a majority of votes. He and his Brown Shirts took over because the “good people” sat on their hands. The fascists already have their marching orders from the White House == hit back twice as hard. This is not the end of protest, it is just the beginning.
LLS
I agree. The French Revolution was where western civilization made its first drastic mistake. We’ve not yet recovered from it. The evil just goes on and on.
Kathy Castor makes my skin crawl! She is what you’re likely to get stuck with on a blind date!
I'm with you!
Let's Party Like its 1773:
In the American Revolution we had the property-owning middle class rebelling against being taxed by the nobility.
In the French (and also the Russian) Revolutions, we had the propertyless, egged on by Communist agitators, seizing the property of the upper class, and then fighting among themselves over how to divide the loot.
“Sorry, but this is acting like the leftist fascists. Were better than this.”
What’s your solution to having a voice in defending against and ultimately defeating these commies who are hellbent on destroying our country? Our nation is under attack. What will you do?
