Best guitar album ever, even if just for it’s impact on guitarists. I was given a promo copy. Had never heard of the guy. I played side one all day. Didn’t get to side two until the next day! My reaction was, “So we’re allowed to do this?”

Jimi had gone to England and gotten with I think Pete Townsend at a Who recording session and listened to Jimi play and he immediately got on the phone to Eric Clapton and John Lennon and told them to come on over. He’d something they all needed to hear. Something that would raise the bar just a bit.
