1. These disruptions are being funded and organized by out-of-district special-interest groups and insurance companies.
2. People are scared because they are being fed frightening lies.
3. Their actions are getting more extreme.
4. Their goal is to disrupt and shut down legitimate conversation.
5. Republican leadership is irresponsibly cheering on the thuggish crowds.

6. The evil RethugliKKKans feast on puppies and sacrifice babies to Satan. SRSLY
Ergo...the more the White House tries to discredit those rebelling, the more powerful and vociferous will the rebellion become.
NOTE TO WHITE HOUSE:
Bring it on!!!
The Democrats have both houses of Congress and the White House with a Republican Party that couldn’t energize a crowd at a Texas high school football game. All they had to do was slip their socialism in incrementally but noooo, they had to go for broke and now that they have slapped the taxpayers up side the head hard enough to get their attention they are trying to make it look like the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy is being unfair. I didn’t think anything could bring back the Republican party in 2010 but these people are going to be voting against democrats in droves.
Being “Funded”? When do I get my check? I want my check.
Naw. We are all “community activists” now.
DISSENT IS PATRIOTIC!!
Instead of screaming at your local representatives, just throw your shoes at them. The press chuckled when it happened to W, so I’m sure they’ll be cool with it now... /s
"I'm sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and disagree with this administration, somehow you're not patriotic. We need to stand up and say we're Americans, and we have the right to debate and disagree with any administration".
So The Atlantic is nothing but a conduit for talking points now? Good to know.
While I hope this show of true grassroots opposition scares the pants off of members of Congress, Obama is very thin skinned and may use this as a pretense for re-imposing the fairness doctrine and purging the Internet of “hate” sites. Obama is ruthless in his quest to remake America into a socialist state and is not above trying to stifle our First Amendment rights. The man scares me.
Two words to DNC: PROVE IT.
For NOW....in America people are innocent UNTIL PROVEN guilty.
DNC: Fascist Propagandist.
“The man scares me.”
He’s counting on THAT.
Many Iowans know (Jen) O'Malley Dillon from her work on John Edwards' presidential campaigns. She worked in field before the 2004 caucuses and was Edwards' Iowa campaign director before the 2008 caucuses. After Edwards left the presidential race, she became the director of battleground states strategy for Obama's campaign.
O'Malley Dillon is married to Patrick Dillon, whom she met while both worked on Edwards' first presidential campaign here. Patrick Dillon later managed Chet Culver's gubernatorial campaign and became the governor's chief of staff.
Patrick Dillon also has worked for former Senator Tom Daschle and current Senator/former Virginia Governor Mark Warner.
The Washington Posts Chris Cillizza called Dillon and his wife Jennifer OMalley Dillon, who is the executive director of the Democratic National Committee, a new political power couple in Obamas Washington.
The hypocrisy of the left is astounding.
Nixon was viscerally attacked for developing an enemies list. Obama announces a tip line, and asks the public to report people who do not want his heath care plan, and there’s not a peep about it in the press.
Obama is portrayed as the Joker, and it’s termed unfair and dangerous. Bush was portrayed as a monkey, the image of Hitler, and as the Joker, but there was never a mention of how negative that was in the press.
Bush spent hundreds of billions on Iraq over time, and that was characterized as extreme deficit spending. Obama is spending literally trillions, and it’s not characterized negatively by the press.
There are many more instances of this. Our media has turned into the screedia.
Jen looks like Jim.
It is as though some Republican leaders that were boo’ed at Tea Parties called the boo’ers radical leftists.
The people that are getting angry at the Dem critters are moderate and conservative Democrats. If they are mad to begin with, how much madder will they get being dismissed as bussed-in right wingers?
Re: “I woke up mid-January in the USSR”
*************
Yep, you sure did. I have visited the old USSR back in the seventies and early eighties and know full well what Obama and company is up to — I knew well before the election and tried to warn people but they did not pay attention nor investigate on their own.
I just wrote a scathing e-mail to Zero at whitehouse.gov — I warned him and his thugs that we will not be silenced and reminded him that ‘dissent is patriotic!’ I also reminded him that HE works for US, and lives in OUR house, not the other way around.
The one thing I did not mention was the birth certificate issue as I felt it was off message.
I would recommend those who are feeling as I do that we must rise up and express ourselves either call or write the White House and/or their representatives in Congress or Senate.
I have no fear of retaliation. I am 60+ and these Chicago thugs do not scare me. I will not go quietly —
Register and give it to them on the atlantic.com
DNC won’t let you post comment on her blog on DNC.org. Chicken sheet.
