MISSION VIEJO, Calif., Aug. 4 (UPI) -- A California lawyer who has filed a lawsuit alleging President Obama is not a natural-born U.S. citizen says she has a copy of his Kenyan birth certificate.
Orly Taitz of Mission Viejo, a leading "birther," filed a motion over the weekend for quick action on her lawsuit, The Orange County Register reported. She acknowledged the Kenyan document might be a forgery and asked U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to request verification from the Kenyan government.
"There are no ready means of authentication except by recovery of the original document," she said in her filing. "It is also apparent ... that political pressure may be brought to bear to destroy all relevant evidence, whether such evidence exists within or outside the borders of the United States of America."
Proof that Obama was born in Hawaii includes his birth certificate there, statements of Hawaiian officials and a birth notice in a Honolulu newspaper.
Taitz's document, described as a certified copy, says Obama was born Aug. 4, 1961, in a hospital in Mombasa. The document is dated Feb. 17, 1964, and stamped Republic of Kenya.
Media Matters for America, a Democratic-leaning watchdog group, says Kenya did not become a Republic until later in 1964.

Probably the half-educated reporter doesn’t know the difference between “proof” and “evidence.”
The bottomline is that Obama will have to present his original birth certificate to authenticate or prove this Kenyan birth certificate to be a forgery (lol).

Notice the subtle change to from "has released his birth certificate" to "his birth certificate there." Of course the fact that Sec. of State spokeswoman Janice Obuko just stated that she has "seen" the document proves that the original, long form BC has not been released.
I sure hope that you can locate his Kenyan birth certificate!

I’m personally convinced the whole “birther” thing helps Obama, the same way having Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan and the “911 truthers” seen as represening the left helped Bush win reelection. For that reason alone, if I was Obama, I would never release my birht certificate. The people in the middle are rapidly realizing how dangerous Obama’s policies are. The only thing that will stop a conservative resurgence in 2010 is if they view conservatives as a bunch of shrill, crazy kooks.
