Video: The Public Plan Deception Its Not About Choice and Competition
OMG, that was awful. How dumb does Linda Douglass think we are? If she wants to have a prayer, she has to do a lot more than show us clips of the One saying something different. She has to make a compelling case that when he said he favors single payer he did not mean it, or that he has completely changed his mind.
And she has to explain how private insurance can survive against a public option, which credible think tanks say is unlikely.
She’s making used car salesmen look good. And it doesnt seem like she has a clue that she’s doing so.
Hillary used the 2003 video clip while campaigning in January, 2008.

Clintons campaign continued attacking Obama over various aspects of his record, from his numerous present votes in the Illinois Senate - including one on a bill to boost privacy protections for victims of sexual assault - to his past remarks about a single-payer healthcare system. Her campaign produced an Internet video showing Obama in 2003 calling himself a proponent of a single-payer system, though Obama counters that he has said he favors that approach only if the country were building a healthcare system from scratch.
I watched this video this morning.
She doesn’t actually say anything.
She just says “that’s not true” but provides nothing to debunk it.
I’ve seen them both. Ms Douglas’ smarmy, disingenuous effort didn’t work.
I am amazed at how programmable she is, she spouts party line and actually seems proud of it......lemming.
Their tactics illustrate how arrogant the DC scum are and illustrates how stupid they think the American are!
Oh wait. that would require "real" reporting instead of the warmed over press releases we get now.
Wake up over there at Fox. Here's a story I want to see on the news tonight.
This video is sooo bad, no one, not even the mushbrained media syncophants will bother to watch it in its entirety.
And notice not a mention of Barney Frank or Jan Shackowsky’s
endorsement of single payer? Guess they will have to get their own boring videos made.
Obama’s Leni Riefenstahl....
I am willing to accept things can be taken out of context. If there was actual evidence this was just a hypothetical question being answered (say, “What could be done to go down the path of single-payer” etc), I would agree with their response.
But, there is NO EVIDENCE of that being provided by Douglass, which is flat scary.
All she says is don’t believe it, here’s some new quotes.
I don’t buy that for a second....
Silly you, FOX does not do investigative stories, it would take time away from them putting useless stories on air.
