BOISE - A body has been pulled from an area canal.
Ada County Dispatchers tell NewsChannel 7, they received a report it's a male juvenile's body.
The body was pulled from a canal near Deer Flat and Cloverdale in the Kuna area.
A temporary command post is being set up in the area.
Boise Police spokeswoman Lynn Hightower tells NewsChannel 7 and KTVB.COM that the previously scheduled 2pm news conference on the search for Robert Manwill has been cancelled, in order to further investigate the body found in the canal.

Tragedy. On one hand you don't want it to be this little boy, but on the other hand that means it's some other little boy.

There are a number of state officials and employees who ought to be dumped in that canal for letting either of Robert Manwill’s parents anywhere near him.

Sad.
I saw a man drown in the lake 1/2 mile across from me on Thursday. Nobody, not even the circling medical helicopter could find him until the divers pulled him up after 25 minutes.
24 years old, couldn’t swim, in a canoe, NOT WEARING A VEST.

Ever watch Penn & Teller’s tv show? They were able to get hundreds of people in Las Vegas to sign a petition to ban Dihydrogen Monoxide. It was hilairious, and rather sad.

How sad. I expect that the long exposure to water will make it very difficult to determine the actual cause of death.

Sure is, and from what (IIRC) the Boise PD has said, basically mentioning that this isn’t going to end well, I figured this would happen.
For the record, this particular boy’s dead body was found about a mile from my house.
