On Friday, Fox News host Sean Hannity presented a brief report about Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s plans to criminalize historical “revisionism.”
Specifically, Medvedev wants to make “questioning the Soviet victory in World War II” a criminal offense; he also appointed a commission to work towards “counteracting attempts to falsify history that are to the detriment of the interests of Russia.”
In the Newsweek piece cited by Hannity, Stalin’s Children author Owen Matthews explains:
Russia’s schoolchildren are being indoctrinated with the greatness of Stalin and stories of how the Red Army was welcomed as liberators by the peoples of Eastern Europe.
Both Putin and Medvedev seek to create a new, great Russia, and to that end, they believe it needs a great history, unsullied with mass murder and secret alliances with Hitler.

The mass murders presided over by the likes of Uncle Joe and Chairman Mao made Hitler and his genocidal crew look like rank amateurs.
THAT is the historical truth.
WHY do we seldom if ever hear condemnations of Communist butchery from the liberals and leftists?

No surprise here. Since the so-called down fall of Russian communism, I’ve said I would believe it only when the party nomenklatura, chekisti, and other party criminals were tried in public followed by public televised executions.
Then I might believe that it had collapsed in Russia.
But there has not been a SINGLE trial of any of these butchers and murderers.

Communism as operated by Lenin et al, is just another name for Russian imperialism, with a twist so the suckers in the West would have a plausible excuse to support it. The Chinese version, is Mao (and successors) as the emperor, without the trappings of world-wide proletarian revolution. This has evolved into a dictatorship of the fascist kind in both countries. Private property, without the true respect that such property deserves, xenophobia, and authoritarianism.
Real Marxist Communism in Russia died when the expected worldwide revolution did not follow quickly on the heels of the October Revolution. Soon in 1924, Stalin publicized his “Socialism in One Country” idea and red orthodoxy took more and more of a backseat to nationalism. A subset of Stalin’s butchery was dedicated to eliminating the true believers of Communism.

Trappings of state accompany funeral of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was borne to his grave yesterday by an honour guard of Russian soldiers as the words of the hymn Eternal Memory echoed around the Donskoi monastery in Moscow. With President Medvedev following the Nobel laureate’s open coffin, the funeral of the dissident writer combined the rich traditions of his beloved Orthodox Church with the trappings of a formal state farewell.

Vladimir Putin, the Prime Minister, former President and KGB spy, did not attend the funeral. After paying his respects at Tuesday’s wake, however, he ordered the Russian Education Minister to ensure that Solzhenitsyn’s books were taught prominently in schools and universities.

You might read the Books by Dr. Richard Pipes of Harvard, I have them all. You might want to read about the faked Soviet census of the Thirties, you might want to do some research before you express an opinion, I have.
I won't include the testimonies of my Polish and Lithuanian in Laws who went through the Soviet Conquest and enslavement.
