This incident has been totally mischaracterized. What Specter was describing was the way that his staff has to treat any bill that comes across his desk, and that this is not the first 1000+ page bill to do so. What he was saying was that what his staff does they have to do fast with any bill because they see so many. He wasn't proposing that healthcare legislation be passed at warp speed with no review, he was proclaiming his office's dilligence in the way it treats every bill.

The elites are acting as if we stupid proles have no alternate to the government-run propaganda machine. The government-created financial meltdown was the excuse for ramming the porkulus measures through with no debate. We have an artificial health care “crisis” that is unrelentingly hyped by the propagandists. We have the climate change “crisis” that demands immediate huge tax increases and wealth transfers, without the slightest effect on climate. This is the liberal fascist way, it is the hallmark of the Pelosi/Reid congress, it is the catch phrase of Rahm Emanuel, with the original research by Machiavelli as plagiarized later by Saul Alinsky.
