I suppose Obama is watching Chavez to see which of the things he does work and which don’t. If Chavez is successful in keeping dissenting opinions off the air, I’m sure Obama will try to do the same. Obama just loves dictators and would follow them anywhere.

Looks like he caught wind of what 0bama was working on doing to censor radio stations here in the soon to be New USSR.

bambi’s intentions could not be more clear when it comes to how he has sided with all the wrong people on Honduras. Hillary better make a clean break from him over this.

For the last seven or eight years, liberal members of the US press corps have been outspoken about the Bush administration's lack of pressure on Russia with respect to the rollback of some of the Russian civil liberties.
But, we have heard nary a word from those same journalists about the deeply troubling and even more draconian steps that Chavez has taken to squelch free speech in Venezuela.
I wonder what makes Russian autocratic socialism less desirable than Venezuelan autocratic socialism, in the minds of these leftist American journos.

Venezuelans are NOT Americans. They did not grow up with a Constititution that requires free speech; they did not have a 2nd amendment...what works down there, may prove to be impossible here.
People are swamping "Town Hall" meetings, burning up the faxes and email computers in Washington, and sending thousands of letters to them. Then, there are the Tea Partys and the internet.
Being 63 years old, I still remember the old "Radio Free Europe" ads where there is a radio playing and a guy in a Russian uniform walks up, chops the radio in half with an axe, and yells, "NYET".
Well, we kept that from happening once, and we can do it again. The American People need to realize that the obamazation of this country is NOT going away by itself, it is too entrenched, and too well organized (i.e. ACORN, etc).
The good news is, we're still a moderate to right country, and those people still vastly outnumber the leftist radicals, so we just need to take out the trash.

I'm sure the Obama administration is outraged about this.
BTW: FR is a better place without F-bombs. It's one of the main things that distinguishes us as superior to the sewers on the left side of the internet. Let's keep it that way, OK?

See they do believe in free speech as long as you agree with them.
