The Talk Shows
Sunday, August 2nd, 2009
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Rep. Charlie Rangel, D-N.Y.; Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C.; Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Lawrence Summers, director of the National Economic Council.; former Reps. Harold Ford Jr., D-Tenn., and J.C. Watts, R-Okla.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Summers.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner; former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan (Michelle Malkin on Roundtable).
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz; Christina Romer, head of the Council of Economic Advisers.
Is it punishment enough that Andrea Mitchell and Alan Greenspan are married to each other.
It’s pretty obvious how willing Greenspan was to help with all of this. He came in at the beginning to push the notion that catastrophe was upon us and now he has been trotted out again to tell us that Barky’s programs really are working.
As they say, who ya gonna believe.....
First they redistribute wealth and now health, says Michele.
They don't know what to do with Michele since she documents stuff so Stephy keeps cutting her off. She is only there so some of us will watch his pathetic show.
I would bet you are right. The woman from Atlanta was seething,,it was actually uncomfortable to watch it. It disturbed me. But Michelle is smart and needs to move into this league as others do. I think she can.
That’s a more encouraging report on Michelle’s appearance, thanks.
My sister used to take lines like that at face value. Twelve years ago, she visited us from Oakland CA just before school started. We had just moved to Irving TX, and we went to visit the new school. Her jaw dropped as she saw the facilities, and it really hit the floor when I told her the average cost per student (at that time) was less than $7K.
It was too late to save my nephew, who was already in junior high in the Oakland school system. At least my sister moved out of Oakland before my niece reached 4th grade.
Russert may have been a lib, but at least he'd ask a decent followup question from time to time. David Gregory wouldn't know a good followup question if it hit him in the arse.
Greenspan is pumping for a value added tax.
I don’t think she kicked butt.
I taught in Oakland for a bit. Getting out was the only answer. My oldest daughter was in school in Berkeley. The younger three never saw the inside of a public school.
And it has only gotten worse.
Wow, I didn’t realize how great this economy was until I listened to Steffie’s show.
Yes, with my money. I have my own bills to pay, thanks!
Michelle is a little nervous.
Michelle is right...extend jobless benefits and you extend joblessness.
I ask again, what in the world is wrong with Cynthia Tucker’s face?
I was furious and told her that you could buy some decent folding tables for $30-40 each, as a short term solution.
I wish I was there when she recounted the visit to Texas. When a comment was made regarding the "whitebread" population, she said "BS!!!, there's 50+ different languages spoken at that school, but they all work together for the benefit of their kids."
Good for her!!!
Think I'll send a note to my Congressman, asking for a "Cash for Night Hides Not" program. I'll promise that I'll put that money to work immediately...my wife has a few ambitious plans for that extra cash.
And her projects are really "shovel ready." LOL!
Michelle was only a bit nervous at the beginning...kicked butt the rest of the way.

Thanks, Larry, for giving us the straight scoop. Those guys were just giving us a lot of happy talk.
