That visit sure lit a fire under her...LOL! The school district said they didn't have enough money for desks, so they handed out clipboards for the kids to write on.

I was furious and told her that you could buy some decent folding tables for $30-40 each, as a short term solution.

I wish I was there when she recounted the visit to Texas. When a comment was made regarding the "whitebread" population, she said "BS!!!, there's 50+ different languages spoken at that school, but they all work together for the benefit of their kids."
