I have tried and tried to warn people that this government means to use food as a weapon to force compliance with its will, but may on hear thought I was nuts, they think that the free market will save them, that there's no need for strategic stock plies of food. Between this bill, the fact that there are no longer food reserves being held and with the Chinese so flush with dollars that they will be able to buy the bread right out of our mouths those not prepared will have a long road to hoe. Those of you claiming silver and gold are the answer try eating it. When bread is scarce available and you have a loaf how much are you going to be willing to sell it for? Food, guns and ammo.
A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

And that exclusion for farms??? Gone! And that includes you organic idiots who thought you had kissed enough behinds to have your industry excluded.

The newly revised bill that appeared overnight after the original was defeated 29th of July, now includes all those farms we were told would not be affected by this legislation.

The entire HR 2749 bill was completely wiped and replaced with an amendment that was the text of another bill similar to, but far more lethal than the first.

This same Democrats who opposed the Obamacare were under fire from constituents for the farm bill, er...uh, food safety bill.

So, I’ve been trying to figure out if they caved on this one to appease Pelosi, or if Pelosi pushed this threw to punish them. Maybe a little of both.

I know a lot of people were in this survival mode 10 years ago and learned to prep very well. Maybe there’s a purpose in everything we’re led to do; maybe 1999 was a trial run. The minute I saw the information on this bill, the gears clunked into place in my head. Maybe it’s TB2000 time again ... this time for real. We better get up to snuff.

good to see so much response to this thread. then topic was posted after the vote but there wasn’t this sort of response.

i hope this is a real wakeup call to the libtard organic eatin’ obamites.

hopefully public outrage will spill over and NAIS will get mainstream exposure.

The first time someone growing tomatoes in their backyard gets hassled by some bureaucrat from the “Department of Food”, I raise the black flag and start slitting throats. Swear to God.

Here are my thoughts on this subject.

I hope I'm wrong about this but I'm afraid we're on the verge of civil war, civil disorder and food riots.

What Congress did here was very criminal to say the least. What they've done is give politically minded bureaurats the power to starve people.

Unfortunely there are some clowns and goonies in Washington who seem to have the mindset of Robert Mugabe. He's the clown from Zimbabwe who finds the idea of starvation as a political tool attractive. I guess some in Washington feel the same way.

Whoever voted for this B.S. and C.F. needs to have his or her butt run out of town.

Regards.......

Just remembered this article this morning, and it is relevant to what is happening:

http://www.newsweek.com/id/193500?digg=1

Quote from: Jim Rogers, the legendary American investor, financial commentator and, along with George Soros, founder of the Quantum Fund

Are we going to see another food-price spike sometime soon? Definitely. I think you should move back to Indiana and marry a farmer. There are times in history when the money lenders have been in charge, and we just came through one of those periods. But it wasn't always that way. Wall Street was a backwater in the '40s, '50s, '60s and '70s, and it will be again. Farmers are going to be the ones driving Lamborghinis, and the traders are going to have to learn to drive tractors.

Gentlemen this is a planned assault.

This bill basically federalizes the entire farming and ranching industry. It makes every producer pay the feds another $500. It gives the FDA the authority to seize and quarantine entire areas. The Soviet Union did this. If a small population refused to go along with Communism the communists simply quarantined the area and economically starved them into submission.

That 10th amendment issue had best get some real teeth real fast as this bill stomps what is left of States and personal rights regarding food.

This bill even allows the government to take your food. Read the bill, it will scare the sh*t out of you.
