The founders did not think that the body of Congress would be a unified traitor to the constitution.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I agree with you post.

The fact that we are in this situation indicates that we, as a nation, are in very serious trouble. A moral dry rot extends far beyond this one issue of Obama’s eligibility.

I pray to God that he will save us.

Yes...Getting some of the states to pass laws demanding proof of eligibility will possibly solve this one problem, but the moral dry rot is what will kill freedom in the end.

The fact that Congress and our courts are doing **nothing** is really an indication of how morally sick we are. You are right they have the power but are choosing to overlook evil. As you say, they are “unified traitors”. That does not bode well for us and our future.

While I support Star Travelers position of getting the states to demand proof of eligibility to be on the ballot, sadly the measure is a bandaid on a moral hemorrhage. The true problem is that we have a congress stuffed to the brim with “unified traitors”, and our nation is terminally ill with moral dry rot.

You said — You have to have at least half a brain to lie like is exposed in post #193 of this same thread.

Well, since we’re into an “insult fest” here... LOL...

Oh... I just can’t do it... it’s not nice to be mean to the mentally disadvantaged... :-)

If you read what I said, I said it happened before, so it’s not something that was *unknown*..
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

At the time, I believe it was unknown to the members of congress, and they had no reason to suspect him. It was only much later that historians discovered that Chester Arthur lied. But...Honestly...I don't know much about this case.

But...because Arthur lied does not make it OK for Obama to lie ( if he is).

No, it wasn’t unknown at the time... it was just like it is now — with some accusing Arthur, but not being able to prove anything (just like some accusing Obama, but not being able to prove anything).

And so, since others did not have any evidence — they couldn’t decide. And President Chester Arthur actually destroyed as many of his personal records as he could so that it wouldn’t be found out later on, too... but it was found out, finally, years later...

In regards to Obama lying, well... that’s what no one can say with any authority or proof. All one has is the “allegations” of lying... and that’s quite a bit different than saying that he’s lying...

An honorable man would be proud and eager to prove that he was a natural born citizen and assist in every way to promptly release all documentation directly and indirectly related to the matter.

Since Obama is not doing this, ...well...judgments will be made about his honor.

State and/or federal laws to deal with "the next time" is being used as a way to distract from the present.

In personal finance terms, it's ignoring the past due bill while promising to pay the next one that comes in. In production quality terms, it's fixing the cause of the problem but not containing the defective product that is in the stream of commerce. In moral terms, it's dereliction of duty, not called out.

-- our nation is terminally ill with moral dry rot. --

I agree. I see it in what should be reliable institutions. In 2008, SCOTUS says "Miller was convicted" but the Miller case says "Miller's indictment was quashed and he was never tried." Congress is rotten, the courts are rotten, and the president is rotten. The people are in the dark, and unless it hits their comfort, they are indifferent.

The country is dead to me. I'm working with my family.

Yes, that too, and that first.

We are working in harmony in prayer, of that I am sure. Bless, you, your family, your friends and loved ones; and may our leaders obtain clarity of vision, wisdom, shame, humility, and an abundance of the Holy Spirit.

Human nature surely inclines to the side of evil, and divine intervention surely appeared in the founding of the United States.

I see that ST doesn’t dispute the claim that she is also janx. I also see that it seems to be okay to call her a troll once again. Interesting. Maybe the tide is turning.

[Star Traveler] (3) State law that a candidate must show his birth certificate.

[Kells] This is an excellent suggestion. If enough of these were passed, it would prevent Obama from running in 2012 ...

I've also suggested that we needn't wait on new laws, but can take executive action immediately, if the Republican secretaries of state in the States where we have them simply make it known that they will increase the proofs required for filing candidacy papers, that will put excruciating pressure on Obama and the 'Rats to come across, if they want to compete at all in those States.

Otherwise the Democrats would have to put up a charade of nominating slates of "uncommitted" Democratic electors, rather than electoral slates committed to Obama. The display of political awkwardness and cynicism would be good for the GOP.

Yes, for the future. Now, though, pursuing the issue of his lack of documentation casts doubt on him, his actions, and gets those who wonder "Well, why not just show the papers?" to start applying critical thinking to all he says, not just swallowing the superficial drivel the MSM has been pumping out for him.

It is that shift to critical thinking by those of the electorate who are not starry-eyed worshipers of Obama which will bring about the sea change in public opinion.

The more people find out, the more they begin to question the talking heads and newsreaders who have mislead them as well.

This is the unforseen windfall of continuing to pursue the issue in addition to opposing the policies which are being crafted by the Socialists in D.C.

Cast doubt on the man, cast doubt on his policy.

***Excellent point, well written, bump for later use. I’m surprised there were no replies ‘til now.

This is another excellent suggestion. It is also a no-brainer but watch party officials refuse to implement unless the grassroots hold feet to flame.

There's Red America, Blue America and Tinfoil Helmet America. And it looks like the third camp is enormously larger than anyone feared.

And we're armed too!

Being a liberal always means you are in fear all the time. For 10 bucks, the Dear Leader could assuage every ones fears and doubts, but he won't for some reason. Born of a Jackal in Kenya maybe?

“The New Jersey Republican Party challenged the replacement of Torricelli’s name on the ballot with Lautenberg’s, arguing that it came too late according to state election laws. The ballot name change was unanimously upheld by the New Jersey Supreme Court,[5] and the U.S. Supreme Court declined to take up the case. Lautenberg won the election, defeating his Republican challenger, businessman Doug Forrester, by 54% to 44%. That victory made Lautenberg one of very few who in recent times returned to the Senate after leaving it.”

- so much for “law”, the plain and apparent facts do not apply to the politicians anymore.

More to the point...who is Obama? We know little if nothing about him. School records, book he ‘wrote’ by channeling Wm. Ayers at his kitchen table, everything he’s done is crooked or a farrago of lies. He doesn’t love this country because he wasn’t born here and his loyalty is to Marxism and black power. The one honest thing he’s said pertains to how he’d implement reparations: Not just money, but complete access and power. (See the fine print in the health bill.)
