A barrage of e-mails between officials right after the flight made public Friday showed a flurry of second guessing, finger-pointing, attempts at damage control - even comparisons between them and The Three Stooges.

"I agree we .. . need to accomplish damage control, but we aren't the POC (point of contact)," the response reads. "Nor do I want to become a belly button for NORAD to push on this one."
A top Pentagon spokeswoman: "Nothing like having everyone point the finger at someone else so we ALL look like a big bunch of buffoons ... can you say Moe, Larry & Curly!??!?!"
The e-mails were released in response to Freedom of Information Act requests by CNN and other news organizations.

Look at the number of enlisted on that manifest whose names were redacted and you can take it to the bank that there were a lot of passengers on this plane. The enlisted are there as stewards to serve food and drink and clean up afterwards. They even added additional ones that didn’t get paid for the flight.
As for a training flight, give me a break! I would bet it a flight for donors with expensive food. Someone needs to ask the AF for their food purchases during this time period.

Since we paid for it....HOW ABOUT A LIST of the names of everyone who attended that was NOT ordered to attend like the military were. If this was a PAYOFF, who was ON THAT PLANE.

Do we know where Obama was during this time? I would love to read the full exchange, to see if the military designated it Air Force One (meaning he was actually on board).
A transcript of the conversation between the pilot and control tower would be nice, too, because Obama feigned outrage.
It was probably some fundraising activity or reward, in the manner of the Lincoln Bedroom.

Note that all but the head AF One Pilot’s name was redacted. All those enlisted you see are going to be stewards. There is no reason to call this a training flight when this crew had been flying Obama around the world and would have been in training for ZERO becoming President after the election.
I second that — obvious from the crew manifest where names were redacted that the WH and AF did not want any of the crew contacted except the lead pilot Turner. Those were orders for the crew but not a passenger manifest.
That is why it would be NICE to know WHO PAID for it?
You even have to ask? I'm shocked, shocked I tell you! Round up the usual suspects, and hand them the bill...
