The Audacity Of Hops

Race Relations: Two people acted responsibly in Gatesgate and did what they were supposed to do. Only one of them got invited to the White House to have a beer with the president and the professor.

We don't know whether Lucia Whalen is a connoisseur of fine brews. We do know she wasn't invited to have one with President Obama, professor Henry Louis Gates and Sgt. James Crowley of the Cambridge, Mass., police department. She should have been.

The rabid left would say Whalen "acted stupidly" in reporting a possible crime in progress. Some are in fact saying it.

The facts are, she was a good and responsible citizen when she made that 911 call, not mentioning race at all until asked by the operator taking her call. She was vilified for doing the right thing. That is a teachable moment.

Suppose people were breaking into Gates' house and she did not report it — because she didn't care if an African-American's house was being broken into or she was afraid to be called racist if she knew the intruders were black.

Suppose the cops didn't show up or took the intruder's word and walked away. What would Obama and Gates have said then?

To his credit, Gates issued a statement echoing a sentiment held by most Americans — "that I thank God I live in a country in which police officers put their lives at risk to protect us every day, and, more than ever, I've come to understand and appreciate their daily sacrifices on our behalf."

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH

"I may be a little biased here, and I don't know all the facts, but the Cambridge Police clearly acted stupidly."

Obama let his bias and underlying feelings be exposed with that statement.

In truth, underneath the sheen, and the thin venier...behind the TOTUS, Obama is just like Gates, Wright, Ayers, etc.

And, IMHO, that is the most revealing thing about the issue with Gates. He is so clearly another person and instance of a pattern that fits Obama's other "close friends".

Racist, hate filled, angry, people who detest traditional America and the free market and whose seething hatred is only just below the surface...and in some cases always out in the open. Frank Davis, Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, Jeremiah Wright, Henry Louis Gates, even his own wife, Michelle (by her own admission)...and the list goes on and on.

There is a clear pattern here that the MSM not only knows, but refuses to report. And that is because most of them share this hatred.

Obama and all those pushing his radical agenda are abject marxist ideologues. Their "fundamental; change" is nothing more than a destruction of the American free market and fundamental republican principle.

As I thought I wrote last night (but apprently didn’t), no stereotyping here asking an Irish cop for a beer. Maybe he prefers Bushmill’s!

Obama may have a bone to pick with the Cambridge police leadership, but then it makes little sense to invite Crowley in. Seems he should have asked the chief of police.
