Video: Seniors worried about health care removed from Feinstein’s office

Don’t worry, they weren’t dragged out but rather, er, “bamboozled” by cops into leaving voluntarily. Even so, file this away with Politico’s story about Democratic “town halls gone wild” as further evidence of rising anger about The One’s signature program. I can’t tell for sure if the concern here is that the current plans for health-care reform go too far or not far enough — it sounds like the latter — but either way it’s a sweet peg for Gallup’s new poll on how seniors are the age group that’s most skeptical of ObamaCare. Proof that grandma’s worried about waiting three years for a hip replacement if suddenly everyone in America’s lining up in the waiting room to get their tax-dollar money’s worth? Sure. But she’s worried about you, too:

According to recent Gallup analysis, the overwhelming majority of seniors have health insurance coverage, and roughly three-quarters of those 65 and older are covered by a government-sponsored plan, such as Medicare or Medicaid. Thus it might be expected that seniors would be more negative about the potential impact of reform on their personal situations, but perhaps more positive about its impact on others. This is not the case.

In addition to being less likely to believe healthcare reform will improve their own medical care and access, seniors are far less likely than younger adults to believe the country as a whole will benefit. Only a quarter of seniors, versus about half of those 18 to 49 and 50 to 64 years, believe a reform law would expand access to healthcare nationally…

Will their parents be told that they must go home with pain meds until their child finally dies a tormenting death?

With a hard core pro-death bunch in charge now, I'm really afraid what the answers to your questions will be.

They have to ration if they're going to come close to paying for that monstrosity.

Is it going to take a revolt in this country to say no to this travesty of healthcare destruction?

I think August 2009 will become known as "The month of the revolt that killed Obamacare". At least I hope so.

Hells bells if anyone over 40 realizes what is going to happen with this HC bill wakes up, it should be DOA.
That is assuming that most people over 40 are even bothering to inquire into the specifics of the bill.

I have posted before that this is the biggest ripofff in modern history.

Anyone over 60 will be consoled to die after paying into medicaid, medicare, and social security for last 40 yrs.
I then see govt enacted death tax that takes half or more of estate.

By not having to pay out on medicaid, medicare or social security and then taking 50% or more of estate the govt is going to make out like a bandit.

And the effing voters(52% anyways) voted for this ahole.

Sorry for the rant but this just torks me beyond belief.

On a side note I remember a episode of STNG( star next gen) from early 90’s with story line very similar to this situation. I have often wondered if 0 is channeling Roddenberry. Or possibly his handlers, because I am coming to belief that 0 has never had an original thought.

"When Obama's Deathcare attacked the unborn, I was not an unborn baby, therefore I was not concerned

And when Obama's Deathcare attacked the elderly, I was not elderly, and therefore, I was not concerned.

And when he attacked the weak, and the feeble, and the disabled,

I was not weak and feeble and disabled, and I was not concerned.

Then attacked me and all who were left-- and there was nobody left to be concerned."

Shame on the AARP for selling this rubbish to seniors who are often easily confused by an official looking mailer from an organization they think they can trust.

AARP did such a number on Medicare patients when Medicare Part D was established, government too, the all-day education sessions, the umpteen plans meant to confuse not assist, when all it is, an entitlement of $2500 to pay for prescription meds. They made a simple situation unbelievably complicated, and really unfair and unkind to do this to people who have a difficult time with some of these things.

To have AARP endorsing legislation that is loaded with so much anti-senior evil, it only proves my long-held contention that this bunch is all about making money and not about being advocates for the older people in our society/country.

According to the logic of health care rationing, sick children would also have a duty to die to save money. This is what our country has come to, looks like we didn’t beat the Nazi’s after all in 1945, they just layed low for a while, and now they are back with a vengeance packaged as caring and compassionate people. Goebbles must be so proud in his grave.

I’m just wondering how this Health Care monstosity is going to effect VA medical care. I have seen nothing on this. Are they going to tell a 65 year old disabled veteran who has literally put his life on the line for his country that considering his age, the cost of treatment and younger patients needing care, Economics just does not justify the cost of treating you any further. But we have good news for you, we have a very nice plot for you in a National Cemetary? Obama’s “thank you” for serving our country.

How old is feinstein
how old is boxer
how old is dodd
how old are a lot of congressmen and senators?
Will they be told they are too old too once they are seniors????
What about their parents?
What about grandparents?
Will their kids worry about congressmen and senators when their time comes?
Will they take the same healtcare we’ll have?
They SHOULD BE MADE TO SIGN UP FOR IT.
Let them share in what everyone else will share in.

What in the hell is the matter with these losers anyway? Are they just plain stupid or what?

We have friends who are 80 and 83. They could take on anyone of these “little minds” with their hands tied behind their backs.

They are evil, cubreporter, plain and simple. They really only care about themselves. I don't think even simple compassion extends to members of their own families. They are soulless, just look into their eyes, you will see walking demons
