Video: Seniors worried about health care removed from Feinstein’s office

Don’t worry, they weren’t dragged out but rather, er, “bamboozled” by cops into leaving voluntarily. Even so, file this away with Politico’s story about Democratic “town halls gone wild” as further evidence of rising anger about The One’s signature program. I can’t tell for sure if the concern here is that the current plans for health-care reform go too far or not far enough — it sounds like the latter — but either way it’s a sweet peg for Gallup’s new poll on how seniors are the age group that’s most skeptical of ObamaCare. Proof that grandma’s worried about waiting three years for a hip replacement if suddenly everyone in America’s lining up in the waiting room to get their tax-dollar money’s worth? Sure. But she’s worried about you, too:

According to recent Gallup analysis, the overwhelming majority of seniors have health insurance coverage, and roughly three-quarters of those 65 and older are covered by a government-sponsored plan, such as Medicare or Medicaid. Thus it might be expected that seniors would be more negative about the potential impact of reform on their personal situations, but perhaps more positive about its impact on others. This is not the case.

In addition to being less likely to believe healthcare reform will improve their own medical care and access, seniors are far less likely than younger adults to believe the country as a whole will benefit. Only a quarter of seniors, versus about half of those 18 to 49 and 50 to 64 years, believe a reform law would expand access to healthcare nationally…

Seniors will suffer and die earlier under Obama care. And bet the rent that none of the fossils in Congress will lose a jot of their Gold Plated Health Care!

These folks have been around a while. They can spot when they're being lied to, as they are about health "reform."

I guess they didn't get the memo they had a "duty to die" so Barry and San Fran Nan can pay for nationalizing the health care system.

"bamboozled" to go out? What did they do, trick them into thinking it was 4 o'clock, time for dinner?

Is the reference meant to demean the elderly as not too sharp? How elderly were they, in their 50's? Elderly=incompetent, is that it?

She told them that she will ‘talk to them next month”. Ha. That’s a good one. Right after she has time to vote on the bill.

Is it going to take a revolt in this country to say no to this travesty of healthcare destruction?

Diane should have paged Biden to come talk to them.

I hear he's good at that sort of thing...

Sounds that way. Let’s insult everyone and anyone who is against this lousy health care plan. I’m 70 and I’m still pretty sharp.

“I’m 70 and I’m still pretty sharp.”

Well, I’m afraid that’s not quite right. It’s up to Obama’s personally selected board of “Health” to determine your mental capacity.

The Democrats are losing their freaking minds with some of these tactics. They have to realize how bad it looks, but not till later.

I for one am having quite a few chuckles as the tables are turned on rats who would think nothing of slipping Code Pink a few gallery passes to disrupt business a few years ago.

The elderly will suffer but also I was thinking abut sick children as well. I work for a small non-profit children’s charity and we serve serious and terminally ill children. I see children fighting cancer and the horrendous treatment they have to go through every day. They fight very hard to live. Will there be a bureaucrat choosing weather they get the treatment they need in 4th stage cancer? Will their parents be told that they must go home with pain meds until their child finally dies a tormenting death? The cancer treatment very expensive and Children’s Hospital does everything they can, for as long as they can, to cure these children but if the government insurance doesn’t cover these treatments, what then? In other words, only the healthy, productive, taxpaying people will be allowed to live. The elderly, the very sick and the ill children will die.
