WASHINGTON Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., has been diagnosed with an early stage of prostate cancer and intends to have surgery early in August, his office said Friday.
Dodd intends to be back at work when Congress reconvenes in September, according to an e-mail his office circulated to fellow senators. The AP obtained a copy.
Aides also said the diagnosis would not affect Dodd's plans to seek a sixth term in 2010.

My Mom always told me that if I could not say something nice about someone... say nothing... in this case... I will do as she requested.

In England, the survival rate for Prostate Cancer is a little over 50 percent.
In France, the survival rate for Prostate Cancer is 25 percent.
If you live in the United States and get prostate cancer, you have a 93 percent chance of survival.
Seems like a teachable moment, Mr. Dodd ...

I wonder if he will seek treatment in the UK or Canada. There is no way he would choose to go through this in the terrible US system in such desperate need of reform. /s

According to Obama, he should be in hospice care, give him a blue pill and call it the day.
Nah, I don’t wish cancer on anyone so I am just gonna leave it alone. But this should make Dodd think, how would he be treated under ObamaCare

So do you think he plans to take the red pill, or the green one...paving the way for other older men with prostate cancer?

A teachable moment for Tommy. Too many fat-laden steaks from from his bank cronie friends.
To: BertWheeler
Well, so much for him being a perfect a-hole.

You two got it right. Bammy sez, “Maybe you’re better off not having the surgery, but taking the painkiller.”

He’ll never be under Obamacare. Just like Kennedy, he’s entitled to Cadillac treatment.

Hopefully his doctor will be able to explain to him that it is good he was diagnosed this year when he could get treatment immediately rather than waiting until next year under Obamacare when there will already be a three year waiting list for treatment.
Oh, it's Senator Dodd. No waiting line at any time. Just shove a serf out of the way.

Oh no! First Post-Pardum depression keeps Palin from being able to perform her duties and now Dodd must step down because of his ‘Man’ problems, too.
