POLITICO Breaking News: -----------------------------------------------------
Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) has told the Hartford Courant that he has early-stage prostate cancer.
For more information...http://www.politico.com
Big hairy deal. It is said that every man who lives to 100 would have it, but because it is such a slow growing cancer, people would die of old age before the cancer.
Prostate cancer is one of the most treatable forms of cancer today.
If only they could treat his brain as easily.
Prayers for a quick recovery.
My urologist told me that every single older man has the beginnings of prostrate cancer, how advanced it is is what you need to worry about.
The timing to too suspect here, I have a feeling this will be used as an excuse for something else.
Good point - didn't think about that one. Perhaps Harry "The Body" will have a sit-down with Chris and strategize.
I have heard this as well.
Sympathy get out of jail free, card.
I’m very sorry to here this.
I hope they caught this in time. My prayers go out to him and his family.
Not quite 1:2, but the chart in this article should be circulated during this healthcare debate.

Look how much higher the US survival rate is than in Europe. It’s a UK study as well - no argument for US bias.
This guy has already been proven a liar.
Dear Chris:
We know you’re corrupt ‘rat friends will keep you out of prison. Please go enjoy your socialist medicine outside our country.
Thanks
Barney Frank was hoping for that too.
“C’mon Cwith let me sthick to you the way we sthuck it too the tax paywers”
I don’t wish it on the guy.
I hope he gets better and decides to retire from the senate.
I have half a dozen conditions more serious than Dodd’s, but it’s ALL over the news. But not a word about this:
Border Patrol Agent Robert Rosas funeral is scheduled for 9:00 A.M. Friday, July 31, 2009 at Southwest High School, followed by interment at Evergreen cemetary, both in El Centro, CA. IN MEMORIAM BPA Robert Rosas
On July 23, 2009, Border Patrol Agent Robert W. Rosas was shot to death by border bandits while carrying out the oath he swore three years ago. He was 30 years old. He leaves a young wife and two small children. May he rest in peace.
Murdered by illegal aliens from Mexico last week defending our borders... NOTHING from the Mainstream Media! And the retired border agents I speak with are heartbroken and feel betrayed...again.
When my 81-year-old dad was diagnosed, I did a lot of research and found that there are basically two kinds of prostate cancers, the slow-and-common asymptomatic type (which he has), and the aggressive-but-rare type.
It seems Dodd got the common one.
I seem to also recall conceptually that most men living into their 80s can expect to get the slow-and-common type and the medical response is “so what?” because the solution is far riskier than just living with it.
We know he would get good free health care there too so we wouldn’t have any reason to feel guilt.
alan cranston, the absolute dirtiest of the keating five cited prostate cancer as his reason to not run again.....he lived ten years and dies of natural causes and did our country further damage than he did before and during the Lincoln Savings/Loan ripoff of the taxpayers......did I say he was a Calif Democrat whose seat was passed to Barbara Boxhead?
It’s very curable. He’ll live another twenty years...hopefully, some of them in prison.
You're funny!!!
Will Dodd being going to Europe, Canada, or Cuba for care?
