Will he use this as an excuse to drop out of the race and avoid the beating, or try to play it for sympathy?

Sorry to hear it. I hate it when anyone has to go down this road.

I’m guessing sympathy. Early stage prostate cancer is eminently curable.....

My Dad has prostate cancer and, as far as cancer goes, it is just not that scary because it moves so slowly. I hope Dodd doesn’t get all melodramatic in his presser.

God bless him and well wishes on a speedy recovery (and retirement).

Please. The guy's been in the Senate for decades, and before that he was a Congressman. The only thing he knows how to do is live off the public dole. He'll play it for sympathy and it will work. I promise you he'll get a 5-point bump just for announcing it, and another 5-10 point bump after he beats it.

Maybe it will be special sweatheart “Friends of Angelo” prostate cancer, (only available to Senators) that’s much easier to beat than prostate cancer for the masses.

Early stage prostate is curable by many methods. Some are more preferable than others depending on age.

That being said, I wonder if Dodd will go to Canada or the UK to get treatment since their health care systems are what he wants us to emulate.

I agree. Playing the sympathy card here for sure. “Because I have prostate cancer, the ethics committee should immediately stop their spurious investigation of my mortagage practices. It is simply not fair to pick on a sick guy like me’

Be very glad Mr Dodd that at your age you are not subject to government run healthcare.

Because that awful fate is what you wish for us without healthcare.
take a pain pill ‘kay?

So did I. Big deal. You’re still a crook. Don’t try to weasel out of it. You belong in jail.

Less than 1 in 8 men who have prostate cancer die of prostate cancer.

Are they gonna pull a toricelli since he can’t win reelection?

How old is Dodd?? How much is the treatment going to cost?? Is it worth it to save an old man whose life is nearing an end when untold millions have no health insurance?? Questions Obamacare will ask.

Oh, never mind. Members of Congress won’t be covered by Obamacare and aren’t subject to its limitations on care for senior citizens.
