Sarah Palin is expected to make a visit next week to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in California, in what would be her first public appearance outside Alaska since resigning as governor, and the sponsors said on Wednesday the event will be closed to the media.
Palin, the self-described hockey mom turned politician, is slated as our expected guest on Aug. 8 for a 50th anniversary gala hosted by the Simi Valley Republican Women, Federated, a nonprofit group of GOP volunteers, according to an e-mail from the groups president Peggy Sadler. An accompanying notice states bluntly: No press or other media allowed.

shame, I am only 20 minutes away, looks like an exclusive event.
I’m about 40 mins away, would be great if I can attend and tell her we need to have bette education methods for our special needs kids (I have a 15 year old with DS who I pulled out of school a year ago).
God Bless Her and give her strength. Shows her true colors and why she is respected by so many conservatives.
Hahaha I’m glad she is doing this. They will cover this event all the more. ;-)
I think you can purchase tickets through the Simi Valley Republican Women website.
Time Magazine: Palin "hates on the media, never forgets the troops and is a walking middle finger to the BosNYWash elites".
Love that lady.
Just checked. It’s sold out.
Do you think there will be a live stream online?
Yep and I love her for the same reason.
No loss, the MSM wouldn't have "reported" on the event anyway. They would've only used it to demonstrate more PDS. The MSM is dead, killed by its own arrogance and bias, the message just hasn't hit home yet.
yes. We have known about this for awhile, but can’t seem to find a way in as of yet. Still workin’ it. ;-). Let ya know if I come up with something.
I hope this Republican group produces a video of her speech that we get to see.
More for their protection than hers.
Excellent!
They'd make things up anyways.
She has to make the press beg to speak to her(they know she's great for ratings), and carefully chose her own interviews with who she likes, and on her own terms. No more setup ambush jobs by the pinheads from the McCain campaign with idiotic know nothings like Katie Couric
What a great place and event for Sarah to begin what we all hope will be many, many speaking engagements. I understand that this event is already sold out......surprise anyone?
For the media to be excluded is just the cherry on the ice cream on the frosting on the cake....I just love the hell out of it. After this first speech, of course we will have opportunities to be with her sometimes as attendees and other times watching via tv or computer.
Aloha and Mahalo
It will be interesting to see how many people show up for the event. Can Palin attract 20,000 to the event?
Actually, it was the Simi Valley Republican Women’s Group that imposed the “no media” restriction, not Sarah Palin.
I’m thinking the good ladies of the SVRWC don’t want the hateful media to dishonor President Regan’s Library with their presence, considering how much they trashed him when he was alive.
