Five of the US Senate's summer pages -- student-aged youngsters getting an inside glimpse of the congress -- have been quarantined because they may have "swine flu," according to officials.
In a memorandum to Senate offices late Tuesday, Sergeant-at-Arms Terrance Gainer said the pages were resting comfortably "apart from their peers and will not be allowed to return to work until cleared" by doctors.
The Senate's Office of Attending Physician "believes that they most likely have influenza, quite possibly the H1N1 virus," Gainer said.
-Asked if there were any such cases among White House student workers, spokesman Robert Gibbs said: "Not that I am aware of."

mighty suspicious... stuffy noses, sore throat... that used to be called the flu at worse. I believe the obamanation is setting up a crisis for himself
Those pages belong with which Senators ???
A kid I know had it a couple of weeks ago and is just fine now.
(they may have “swine flu,”)
The ‘swine flu’ will feel right on home in Congress.
If we keep making this kind of fuss over it, we will have a dictatorship within six months.
It's really not that big of a deal.
If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas.
No surprise. Swine are in charge of the Senate.
In this case, if you're surrounded by pork.....
Years ago I had a Korean customer in Ft Lee NJ. The whole office was here temporarily and they were worked to death. They all lived together in one apartment....18 folks IIRC.
They went to DC for the Presidents Day long holiday and many, at least 10, stayed in one hotel room. They caught the flu and the company was effectively out of action for days. The boss was sick and with him unable to give orders to the remaining minions, nothing got done.
Lots of swine to catch it from.
Great, thanks for the video...Now I’m convinced that the only way I’m getting a “swine flu” shot is at gun point.
On a separate note; Won’t this kill a lot homosexuals? Just curious.
Think it amazing 'no?' that the threat level of this 'soon to be' pandemic is enough to warrant preparing/engaging our Military to be available in communities throughout our entire country; but not enough to follow a medical protocol of at least testing, to be certain of the flu strain here? So just how uncomfortable a swab or 'sputum sample' - for starters?
Testing for novel influenza A (H1N1) virus
Clinicians should consider testing suspected cases of novel influenza A (H1N1), especially those with severe illness, by obtaining an upper respiratory specimen to test for novel influenza A (H1N1) virus. Preferred respiratory specimens The following should be collected as soon as possible after illness onset: nasopharyngeal swab, nasal aspirate or a combined nasopharyngeal swab with oropharyngeal swab. If these specimens cannot be collected, a nasal swab or oropharyngeal swab is acceptable. For patients who are intubated, an endotracheal aspirate should also be collected. Bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) and sputum specimens are also acceptable.
