A large part of the horror of abortion lies in the monstrous presumption of liberals declaring that human life begins not at conception, but whenever they say it does. Maybe that’s six weeks, maybe six months. Maybe it’s years. Obama’s Science Czar John Holdren (the guy who wanted to put a sterilizing agent in our drinking water) gives us an idea of how slippery this slope can get. From his book Human Ecology: Problems and Solutions, via Patterico’s Pontifications:
The fetus, given the opportunity to develop properly before birth, and given the essential early socializing experiences and sufficient nourishing food during the crucial early years after birth, will ultimately develop into a human being. We knew that human fetuses aren’t human, according to liberal ideology. Now we learn that they remain nonhuman even after they are born, until such a time as priests of The State like Holdren deem them to have been sufficiently socialized.

Because many voting Americans are as shallow as a mud puddle and they liked the Hopey Change slogan and the idea of a *cool* President (guess they didn’t know he’d wear Mom Jeans).
She said she had always understood Roe v. Wade to be for keeping the number of people we don’t want to much of from growing and she was surprised funding for abortion was granting to Medicare.
So the question should have been: What group of people didn’t she want to much of?
No one here needs to be reminded that we’re being czarred and fettered.
That the reason for legalizing abortion was to keep in check populations that we dont want to many of.
I wouldn’t want any fetus to develop into a human anything like Holdren, but I also wouldn’t casually countenance abortion as he himself does.
THIS ISSUE is finally getting “it’s day”, like “every dog”.
People like this guy need to be directly challenged at every turn.

Unbelievable statement. More talking “crap” from the Obama Administration. A 2x4 couldn’t shake any sense loose from these people.
These people are the same type of people who claimed that blacks were not full people, were more like cattle. Indeed, the party is the same party that fought against the Republicans who wanted abolition. They are the same people who fight to keep minority children in poor schools. So, why should it surprise anyone that they want to kill babies? They hate life...they are evil.

A supreme irony with this is that several studies purport to show that the later psychological life of the child can be influenced by her (his, etc.) experiences in the womb. For example, she knows her mother’s and father’s voices from others. So even the “socializable” criterion ought to rule out late term abortions.
Does he really want to go there?
The last time a country had people in power saying things like this we ended up in an extremely costly war over (surprise) ideology that saw words added to the English language like “Holocaust.”
When the state decides who, what, and when a person is a person, you set up the foundation for people like Josef Mengele and the rest of that odious ilk to operate freely.
Nobody on the news wants to “out” this kind of talk. Holdren is one nut. The news is a million pairs of blind eyes, deaf ears, and mute mouths. Can’t have a lapdog nipping its master, can we?
