In a sign of the effect the nationwide Tea Party movement is having on politics, both the Associated Press and Barack Obama mentioned throngs of protesters outside the Obama town hall meeting held this morning in Raleigh:
The welcome was in contrast to criticism Obama met as his motorcade made its way from the airport to Needham B. Broughton High School. Thick groups of protesters held signs that said "Obamacare is Socialism," "Politicians + Health Care Disaster," and "Hands Off Our Health Care."
In an ad lib from his prepared remarks, Obama mentioned the protesters he saw in Raleigh on his way to the town hall:
"There were some folks cheering, and then were some folks with some signs."
When your opponents acknowledge you, you know you're being effective. Good job Raleigh tea partiers!

The narcissist in chief thinks people were cheering for him...lol
Get used to the protests Barry, more to come.
Thanks
Heads up to my fellow NE Tennesseans and to our friends in SW VA...
O is heading towards the Kroger off of Gate City Hwy. He was supposed to be there at 3:30 but it’s looking more like 4PM.
I’m quite surprised they did not bring in the SEIU/ACORN crew to “scrub” the route before the Messiah traversed it. Of course conditions are probably much different in NC than they would be in Chicago or Detroit.
More of these tea parties at every event this turd appears will have the most effect. He is King Obama, and with his corrupt empire support he IS a dictator now. The only next step could be a slowdown in the 2010 elections of Congress and House. The only problem is he will have created so much damage by then it will take many years to recover. As long as we can stop, during his next term, the revoking of term limits things could be slowed down. He will do this by unconstitutional methods but the constitution to him and his corrupt machine means nothing.
For now.
Torches, picthforks, tar and feathers on the way.
Just wait Obama people are going to turn up in droves to protest what YOU want for America.......
The 'Rent-A-Mob' buses are being readied, bannered, fueled as we speak. ;)
Is that an actual quote or a misquote?
Politicians and strategists praise Patrick Gaspard highly, although he stays away from the limelight.
"Patrick is the best political mind of his generation in New York and maybe the nation," says Kevin Sheekey, who as Michael Bloomberg's right-hand-man has frequently worked and battled with Gaspard.
"I wouldn't dispute that," said David Axelrod, Obama's chief strategist and Gaspard's cohort on the campaign trail. When reminded that such a title could be bestowed on Axelrod himself, the strategist said he was "happy to cede that" to Gaspard.
The Washington Post, among others, has announced that a longtime labor operative of Barack Obama's, Patrick Gaspard, will be named Obama's White House political director.
Gaspard served as national political director for much of Obama's general election campaign and was named deputy director of personnel for the transition effort. Prior to his work with Obama, Gaspard was the lead political operative for the 1199 branch of the Service Employees International Union, a huge and hugely influential union representing health care workers in New York. He spent the 2004 general election as the national field director for America Coming Together.
Gaspard was featured prominently in Ryan Lizza's recent New Yorker piece detailing how Obama won. Of his job interview with the Illinois Senator, Gaspard recalled Obama saying: "I think that I'm a better speechwriter than my speechwriters. I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I'll tell you right now that I'm gonna think I'm a better political director than my political director."
My favorite sign for ozero.

I’m surprised they didn’t describe them as “groups of thick protestors”...
The bastards are trying to get away with avoiding acknowledging the inevitable and OBVIOUS consequences of their policies.
Sure, “rationing” and “government takeover” and “single payer” aren’t mentioned in the bill. But they are the obvious results of what IS in the bill.
Can’t they at least use communist red flags behind O at the speech and be a little more honest at what the snakeoil salesman is selling.
Some government takeover? These folks?
He is getting scared... "his" Presidency is tanking.
IT”S CALLED DEATHCARE!
