"I've also been working on "After the Ice" (thanks Blam for sending that, and yes, I will send that DVD)" Oh yeah. John Lubbock, that's right.

Bowdich: American Practical Navigator. I’ll spend a lifetime in the book and still not understand it.

I’ve read Childhood’s End about 4 times over the years.
Wouldn’t call it a novella, though.

Just finished Jack L. Chalker's
River of Dancing Gods. I'm currently reading Joel C. Rosenberg's
Epicenter and re-reading Abraham Cohen's
Everyman's Talmud. Shalom.

Per Merriam Webster “ a work of fiction intermediate in length and complexity between a short story and a novel”
By that definition is my usage of “Novella”. Subject to other definitions.
Be well!

I am reading the 2009 California Climate Adaptation Strategy Discussion Draft; the Klamath River Total Maximum Daily Loads and Action Plan Addressing Temperature, Dissolved Oxygen, Nutrient, and Microcystin Impairments - July 30, 2009; and the Southwest Oregon Interagency Biomass Utilization Strategy.
What can I say - it’s an exciting life. Don’t know when the last time was when I read fiction.

I forgot the next book on my stack,
The Science of Leonardo. I picked it up in Denver when I was out there this summer, and am really looking forward to it.
