I’m seeing visceral hatred coming from supposedly loving, tolerant liberals when it comes to Sarah Palin. That tells me there’s good reason to like her.

backwoods charm......... what an arrogant thing to say.

Palin became famous by spending four months parroting the same, discredited agenda for John McCain didnt exactly make her a credible conservative in my eyes, much less a new champion for the Right. Something to be said for that.. In any event, his comments on the "elite" are right on.

"Ive never been a big fan of Sarah Palin not because I ever thought she was exceptionally bad but because she never struck me as exceptional, period".
That southern boyis neglecting to address Palin's considerable, even superior, communication and political skills.
She also has the right philosophical moorings.
Like some in the blogosphere, I too thinks she could use a little study hall. And some time to write credible opinion in major publications. And time speaking and raising money on the trail.
If she puts her talents to work...and does her homework...she'll be president in 2012.
I'm already thinking about who she'll pick for VP.

Your advice was worthwhile.
His point that you don’t have to be a Sarah fan to understand her popularity is certainly a fair statement.
And his disgust with and mocking of the elite media was very entertaining and a sound assessment.

There is a name for people that don’t like Sarah Palin, but I think that I might get banned for posting it here ;o)

Ive never been a big fan of Sarah Palin not because I ever thought she was exceptionally bad but because she never struck me as exceptional, period. This dumbass never went to one of her rallies, especially at the end when she went "rogue."

Rabs, thanks for the very good SP_Middleclass vs Elite/proto-Maxist class analysis from “Southern Avenger” Jack Hunter. IMO he hits on a very real class war that has possiblity of becoming open warfare. SP may morph into the type of leader for the Middleclass....

Palin became famous by spending four months parroting the same, discredited agenda for John McCain No, Sarah Palin became famous after delivering a knock out speech at the Republican convention. In one terrific speech, she did what McCain could never do, solidify the conservative base.
To: rabscuttle385
Once again, skeptics of Palin are looking at the past, rather than towards the future. The fact that she was McCain's running mate and had to tow the line during the campaign is irrelevant. She's her own person now, and she'll be a much better advocate of conservatism than she was before.
Her having been McCain's running mate doesn't diminish her in the least. Being selected to run for VP is an honor. Who would decline such an offer? Jack Hunter needs to realize that Palin is the only Republican who is outspoken against the Left.
