I’ve never been a big fan of Sarah Palin not because I ever thought she was exceptionally bad but because she never struck me as exceptional, period. By 2008, George W. Bush’s Republican Party had wrecked the Right and that Palin became famous by spending four months parroting the same, discredited agenda for John McCain didn’t exactly make her a credible conservative in my eyes, much less a new champion for the Right. Yet, I understood why grassroots conservatives’ desire for such a hero would lead them to Palin, whose beauty and backwoods charm, made her the perfect symbol for so many frustrated, middle-class Americans to rally around.

I’m seeing visceral hatred coming from supposedly loving, tolerant liberals when it comes to Sarah Palin. That tells me there’s good reason to like her.
Yeah, there is no such thing as a tolerant liberal. They are only tolerant of you if you support their commie agenda, otherwise they smear you and do whatever it takes to destroy you. They say they are all about peace and love yet they trash a woman whose son is right now fighting for OUR freedom. Oh yeah, I forgot, the far left hate America and hate our troops so that is another reason why the libs hate her

I lost my best friend over this. I accepted her opinions but she didn’t accept mine.
Something to be said for that.. In any event, his comments on the "elite" are right on.
That southern boyis neglecting to address Palin's considerable, even superior, communication and political skills.
She also has the right philosophical moorings.
Like some in the blogosphere, I too thinks she could use a little study hall. And some time to write credible opinion in major publications. And time speaking and raising money on the trail.
If she puts her talents to work...and does her homework...she'll be president in 2012.
I'm already thinking about who she'll pick for VP.

IF so, you have been had. Need to bone up on the facts.
You know something else that bugs me is how east coast libs mock her manner of speaking, fact is when you start to pay attention, her “accent” is very normal in the upper mid-west, up into Canada and across to the upper west coast.
